Chasing the Tour of Utah

For your viewing pleasure 🤣

For some reason, I was really excited about the Tour of Utah this year. Those bikers amaze the heck out of me, and I was happy to know they were riding up the street just a few blocks north of us.

Well, it turns out they are a lot faster than I gave them credit for, so we ended up missing them go up that street, so I frantically was running around so we could see them head into Farmington over Hwy-89 (Claire was laughing hysterically at me from her car seat as I ran around the house). We barely flew off the exit and turned, just in time to see the first 10 guys go south down Main Street.

I wanted to keep watching them, so I drove like a mad woman to Centerville, but because that Parrish Lane exit is awesome, and I was impatient, we ended up missing them go through Centerville too, so I, once again drove like a mad woman to Bountiful, where we blissfully watched them fly down 400 N. to head back up towards Kaysville.

They were going so fast that we barely had time to make it back to the car after watching in Bountiful to make it to Kaysville.

Sof has become quite the little cheerleader the last little bit, between cheering for Greg and now all of these guys.

Two cuties!

Lucky for me, these two slept really good after being drug all over Davis county just to appease their mama. But boy did we (I) have fun!

After watching things like this, I'm always motivated to get back in shape. However, the call of a mid-afternoon milkshake was just too hard to resist, so I had one of those instead of exercising :). Oh well, there's always next time right?

Married in a Barn

Greg loves to tell people that my cousin got married in a barn. He really didn't, but you know Greg and his flair for the theatrics.

We took a trip down to Cedar the first weekend of August to attend my cousins wedding. The older I get, the more I love getting together with family I haven't seen in a long time, and this wedding was no exception.

Frozen gogurts for dinner!
Greg's creepily looking at me out of the corner of his eye. Freaky!
There was a pretty impressive rain storm pretty much the last half of the drive, and we were greeted by the prettiest double rainbow that spanned the whole town.
Sof was so excited to have Grandma take her on a motorcycle ride.

We left in a bit of a hurry the last time we were down, that I made my little sister a promise that I would spend more time with her. It was so fun to go to lunch with them one day and get giant crepes! Katy works in the cutest place called The Parke Place, so should you ever find yourself in Cedar City, you need to go there. It's delicious! And, you'll be greeted by the cutest 17 year old of all time.

This makes me laugh every time I look at it. I have no idea what she's doing!
Visiting Grandma at work.

The night before the wedding, everyone got together at the local Pizza Factory to have dinner. It was so fun! Even though Greg's calzone was sub-par, it was still fun to force him to be social.

Not exactly sure what I'm doing here, but Sof's getting pretty good with the camera.
Best buddies! I still think Claire will closely resemble Katy one day.
This man right here! 😍

The ceremony was held in New Harmony with the beautiful Five Finger cliffs in the background. It was sooooooooo pretty! We left the girls in the hands of teenagers, and instead of feeding the toddlers and babies dinner, they beautified the heck out of them! But, they looked adorable so it was worth it.

Sof was on a mission to go find a cookie and some lemonade.
My weird uncle found and set up a bear trap during the reception.
The grandkids (and Katy and Shelby)
No one better than this guy!

Eclair & Company

While googling ways of how to earn money from home earlier this summer, I came upon a crazy idea of starting my own business. Through weeks of self-doubt, late-nights, chocolate binging and excitement, Eclair & Company was born. It has been fun to get it off the ground, and I have more respect every day for small business owners.

My first box of samples came!! Cute Sof snapped this pic for me. We were both so excited!
Another sample. Nothing makes me happier than getting a bulk order of clothes in the mail! Again, the photo credit goes to Sofers.
She a way cuter model than me.

I couldn't have asked for better cheerleaders than Sof, Greggy and Claire. We celebrate the small successes around here, but every one is remembered and celebrated. There's no way but up and up we will go!

Head on over to eclairco.com and subscribe to our newsletter. :) You won't want to miss it.

Greg's Mini Enduro Race

I encouraged Greg to sign up for a Mini Enduro mountain bike race up at Snowbird in July. He was so diligent in training, that we were so excited to go and support him. His race times were when the girls usually are in bed, but they were champs that day (especially Claire who was up early and only allowed one nap). Sof was thrilled to be up late and kept asking me why it was getting dark. Our poor, deprived first child,

Waiting for Greggy! I kept getting crazy looks from people. They were the only thing kids on the mountain, but it sure was worth getting them there.

I had visions of grandeur, where I would snap a picture of Greg going over a huge jump right in front of us with a smile on his face. But we were behind a pine tree so our moment quickly passed when I didn't realize it was him coming down the hill. Oh well.

At least we got one of him pedaling back to us.
While waiting for the 2nd phase race to start, Sof discovered the wondrous world of sticking her head out the sunroof.

Sof has become quite the little cheerleader this summer and is learning the finer ways of hooting and hollering. She made me proud cheering while Greg finishing his final phase of the whole race. Claire was content to sit there with her deep-in-thought Spjute-face observing everything going on.

She was one proud little girl. 😍
I love our car. And these cute girlies who are so aweaome! Claire was thrilled to roll around the back naked and slap happy, and Sof was happy to help put lotion on.
Cute Claire was the only one who tolerated Greg's sweatiness. When we were walking back to the cars, even Sofi asked: What's that smell? "
It was hilarious!

We got the girls in bed way too late, but it really was so fun to see Greg so excited about something and being able to rally behind him and support him while doing something he loves.  His girlies sure do love him!

Random July Fun

A lot of time is spent outside under our shade tree. We sure love our backyard!

Frozen Gogurts are the bomb.
The girls switched chairs for a day, and it was cute.
But it only lasted 1 day.
Summer = bike rides + nutter butters.
We finally got Claire her own swing and it had itself paid off within the first 5 minutes. That girl will swing and swing and swing to her hearts content. It's become my favorite babysitter, and Claire loves it so much, she cries when we take her out.
And yes, she slumps like this the whole time.

Sofi is our master cutter. She has graduated to the serated knife so she can cut tomatoes.

I was being a debby downer one day about never being able to be spontaneous, so Greg spontaneously let me take Sof to Cherry Hill one night while he manned the Claire. We had a blast!!
Super unflattering, but I'm posting it anyway. I kind of love it.
"Here comes Fizbo"
Sof's outfit on another trip to Costco.
Sometimes toddlers are pretty great.
The rolling thunder. Get out of her way! She's force to be reckoned with during sacrament meeting.
What? You don't hold noodles while you watch TV? You're weird.
I hear cracking noises whenever I look at this pic.
#SundayStyle
Claire's first time in a car cart. I'm pretty sure I was more excited than she was.
