March Comes In Like A Lion ...

It's so crazy to think how normal life was just 1.5 months ago. It's like they say, you never know what you have until you don't have it anymore. Ain't that the truth!

...

The beginning of March was much the same - more Busy Season, but with a few warmer days, so we made the most of them by visiting our favorite parks and finding other fun things to do outside.

Claire on her porcelain throne.
Sof has rediscovered her love of biking, and we often bike up the street to feed these horses. We love that they're so close!
Sof's also discovered a new trick on our playset.

I snuck away one Sunday to be the lone representative for my family at my little sister's Family Day in her Single's Ward at Snow College. I didn't realize she was only 2 hrs away, but it sure was fun! I always knew Katy was friendly, but it wasn't until I visited when I realized that she was a freakin' celebrity! I don't think there wasn't a single person who wasn't excited to see her at church.

I also think it should be known that people thought I was her roommate before they found out I was her sister, so that made me feel good instead of like an almost-29-year-old ...

Jack, Jill, and Jenny. These donkey's are MaKaty's stress relievers whenever she needs a moment. I guess everyone has their thing 🤣
It's not until I'm in little towns until I realize how much I love and miss them. The open spaces, smells, friendly people, and overall beauty. It was a happy farewell to be greeting by this beautiful sunray on my way out of Katy's pretty little valley.

We were running towards a park one day, when I realized Claire was saying "Sofi" for the first time. It was the absolute cutest thing!

practicing her tricks.
little besties!
On the way home, we stopped to get me some balloons for my birthday. The girls helped picked them out and I loved them!

I also love how Claire is stepping into the water while Sof is stepping over. They are so different and I love it!
Claire took it upon herself to carry the whole bouquet everywhere.

I found these selfies of Sofi on my phone. I love them! 🤣

Turns out there's not a single picture of me on my birthday. Oh well. It was just another day, but Claire climbing in this giant bag was a enjoyable moment.
Claire loves the aquarium. This particular day was pretty great! No one was there, so we had free rein to run around. Claire had a particular interest in this lion fish ...
This is right before the duck bit Sofi...
Oh Claire. This is a preview of our Summer, and I'm 100% okay with it.

I have to end with this video, because I absolutely love it!

Children's Treehouse Museum & Valentine's Day

The fun Preschool Field Trip's continued one morning by going to the Children's Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It was fun to go with Sof's class and have her be entertaining while I frantically chased Claire around. I only lost her once, so I consider that a success.

Claire sat in this log and would steal the Ranger's animals while he was trying to tell a story with them. I was dying!

Sofi, Bea, and Clara
Giving him kisses.
We were too close to the Farr ice cream factory to not stop and get a cone. Claire isn't too much of an ice cream lover, so she was content to watch a show on my phone while Sof and I chatted.
It ended up being a really warm day, and Sof was roasting by the time we got home. Poor girl, pants and sleeves rolled up and the window down in the middle of February. She's a true Spjute.
Greg was working at a client the whole week, so it was easy to sneak to his office and heart attack him. I love doing little things like this with my girls. Sof did a great job at cutting out all the hearts.
Claire only had 1 meltdown. It didn't last too long, luckily. But who cares, we had paperthin walls to mask her wails.
Greg's office is always a mess.
Claire was content to munch on a whole box of Sour Patch Kids. She loves visiting her Daddy's office.
Claire found Sofi's makeup.

Valentine's Day was absolutely beautiful! We went to the park in Farmington and it was so warm, both of my girls were running around without jackets or socks and shoes. The sunshine definitely made the holiday [almost] worth it.

That, and this video.

I love everything about this cute picture!
This picture pretty much sums up how I feel about this holiday. 🤣

Per tradition, we made my great grandma Bauer's yummy sugar cookies, decorated them, then took them around to Sofia's friends. There was no shortage of sprinkles.

I feel it needs to be mentioned that Greg came home semi-early, and brought me flowers and yummy food so I didn't have to cook. He's the best!

February Shenanigans

Here we are full-swing into a pandemic, and I'm still trying to catch up on our happenings from February.

Here is a picture overload of some fun things we did in February. We survived the 54 days of January (or so it felt like) and were anxiously awaiting semi-warmer days ahead. Here is proof that we can still have fun in the dead of winter.

Claire likes to stand on the vent while it's blowing warm air.
Curiosity got the best of Claire and she busted the only Wii U game that I enjoy playing.

Just an example of how we pass the time on Wednesday's. Good practice for Disneyland (or so we thought at the time).

Claire likes to steal my wallet and hide out behind our stove until she finds her favorite credit card: the blue and green one.
Poor Sof made herself a bed and camped out in front of the window and waited for her Daddy to come home. It pretty much broke my heart.
Sofi's thinking face while playing Guess Who.

Proof Greg had lost his mind one day.

Friday's became our day to go to McDonald's. It was a fun little tradition and the girl's loved having other kids to play with.
Sof drew her own little hopskotch and it was absolutely adorable!
Claire was given a ponytail for church one day, and I was dying over the cuteness!
Climbing the hill at the Green Park.
After going to Costco, we frequent this fun park. It's the best.
Claire's naps are few and far between, so when they happen I like to document them.
Two cute sister's. I'm glad they have each other to weather my crazy.
We put pillows at the bottom of the stairs and the girls rode down them in a diaper box. Claire's face is killing me!

We went swimming one night at the Rec Center and Claire was trying to hide from me. It was pretty cute.
Claire protesting. Makes me laugh every time.
A beautiful Sunday stroll.
Sof's getting really good at doing makeup.
I learned one day that I need to hide the Wii remote. If it's really quiet, the girls would sneak down and be playing this. Little smarty pants.
Whenever we pick Sofi up from preschool, I am still in awe of Miss Joani's backyard.
breaking all my rules: sitting on the counter, feet on the counter, but it was too cute. I couldn't get mad at them.
Free pancake day at Ihop. This is before Claire went berzerk and started climbing on every else's booths. It's a wonder my kids don't know any swear words.
#thuglife

I love that we still have horses just up the street from us. They have come to know us pretty quickly.

I was dying at Greg's hair one morning while we facetimed him. It was standing straight up this all day! Further proof that he wakes up way too early.
A cute picture captured by Claire. She's starting to get pretty good.
