Springtime Shenanigans

I know I've said it before, but I love looking at pictures and realizing how much fun we actually had. Sometime in the grind of the day-to-day life, and we are overwhelmed, it is often good to look back and realize there was a lot of good among the crazy!

We watched the Jorgensen kids for a few days. It was fun to get to know them a bit better! Claire was thrilled to follow Chester around and have a dog for a few days.
We had a lot of fun at the beautiful Midway home. Kate was the best helper!
Sof was so excited to sleep with her cousins, that she kept them awake "talking" much longer than I think they wanted her too, but they were good sports about it. Thanks Kate & Sage!
Our little Clairey-babe has quite the personality! She is always busy doing something. I love how she somehow managed to figure out how to push her stroller and drink her milk all at once. Hello future engineer!
Farmington Station has a fun "Family First Monday" on the Monday of each Month, and we went because it was a Princess and Superheroes theme. Sof was so excited to get her face painted like Spiderman!
Claire even let them give her a pretty painting.
I love this selfie Sof took of herself! 🤣
We had horses again at the top of the street! They didn't last long, but it sure was fun having them there for as long as they were.
This girl LOVES horses. LOVES them! and I love that she loves them. Means I have a stronger case against Greg about getting horses someday.

It was fun to visit Grandma LuAnn for Mother's Day.
And Aunt Lindsey!
Mothers Day was so fun this year! Greg made the day special and I had a lot of fun being pampered. I was given a massage and it was oh so amazing!

On the warmer days, Claire and I would go on long bike rides while Sof was in preschool. It become something that was a lot of fun for us to do. Claire loves being in the bike and we got to explore Kaysville together. She's become my little buddy and it was fun to be able to have one-on-one time with her.
And Claire is a waterdog.

I can't believe how big she looks on the last day of Preschool! She learned a lot, made some fun friends, and absolutely loved her teacher (Miss Ann) who taught her some good things. She had a good year.

Sof became the bravest person I know one measly night at the Aquarium. She held it twice! I was halfway across the room.
Greg told us to go to the Aladdin showing on the opening day, so we did. It was so much fun! Hearing Sof sing "A Whole New World" at the top of lungs was probably the cutest thing I've seen/heard in a long time.

Sof gave her first talk in Primary and a did an amazing job. She was so excited to talk through the microphone.

I'm starting to make Greg take more pictures of me with the girls, and I'm kind of in love with this pictures!
Claire was a champ and pulled this wagon 1/2 way around the block.
Greg took it upon himself to install the fan in Sofi's room. It may have taken all day, but it is now installed and is the prettiest fan in the house.
I came across this video that I forgot I took of the girls. We stopped at a playground one day to let them run around on a rare warm day this Spring. I love watching Claire run! You know she is in her element when she swings her right arm pretty fierce, and watching her do that in this video is one of my favorite things.

We love torturing Claire with this head scratcher. She never fails to drop to the ground, and it is hilarious!

The Treehouse Museum

Some friends invited us to randomly go to the Children's Treehouse Museum in Ogden with them one morning in May. It turned out to be a lot of fun!

May 1, and it snowed. What?!
Queen Claire didn't sit long enough for me to get a picture of her sitting on her throne.
This firetruck was a popular attraction.
I kept losing Claire, but I quickly learned where to find her. She was mysteriously disappear and somehow reappear back in the driver seat of the firetruck. It was crazy!
This time she reappeared with a baby doll.
Making me a yummy treat.
Cowgirl Sof!
Claire loved riding the horsies!
And the bulls.
Sof had a lot of fun riding on this train. It was fun to watch her run around with the big kids and feel like I didn't have to worry about her. She's become so independent and I love it!
We finished the trip by stopping at Farr's Ice Cream to of course get some ice cream cones and a discounted bucket of Mint! We will be going there again. Maybe we'll decide to take Greg.

Springtime Fun

Summer is almost half over and I'm over here struggling to catch up with the fun things we did in Spring. I need to be better.

Even though Sof got a really fun scooter for her birthday, I still wanted her to learn to ride a bike. So, we went to the DI one day and scored the most awesomest princess bike ever for a whopping $6!
She was so excited to show her Daddy when he got home.

2 hours later and she was riding pedal free! Balance bikes truly are the best.

I love her baby in the back strapped in by its neck! 🤣
The bik was pretty rusty, so Sof helped clean it up. She was such a good little helper.

My sister dropped her kids off for a couple of hours and it was fun to watch Sof and Ridge run around together. They play so cute together! It made me wish they lived closer.
These little girlies are 5 months apart, and I think they will become best little buddies in the future as well.
My friend offered to give us her tramp, so I jumped at the chance. Sof was more than a little excited to have a tramp, so she helped so good at taking it apart and carrying the pieces to the car.
Greg was NOT thrilled, but he quickly came around to the idea of having a tramp once he saw how much the girls love it.

I'm pretty sure this Spring is one of the wettest in history. It literally rained just about every day from April through the end of May, so we did our best to make it fun.

But all of the rain sure provided us with some beautiful tulips!

Like I said, Greg came around to the idea of having a tramp pretty quickly.
You're welcome.
