Easter 2018

How in the world did I forget to post about Easter?!

It was pretty much the Best. Weekend. Ever! General Conference and Easter both shared the same weekend this year and I wish it could be like that always.

Sof participated in her first Easter egg hunt Saturday and had so much fun! I gave her a pep talk on how she's going to be bold and not let any of the kids push her around. But, once the egg hunt started, I realized I should've saved the pep talk for future years. Her age group were still so cute and innocent. Kids were out there handing each other eggs. Soooo cute!

Talking strategy

Sof was so excited to color Easter eggs too, and I got over my irrational aversion to vinegar so that she could enjoy the experience.

Whoever said Greg isn't creative has never seen the man color Easter eggs. Holy cow. Apparently I've been doing it wrong my entire life.

Greg escaped to the Priesthood Session so it was just me and my girls. We had pancakes for dinner and I made Sof go to Dairy Queen to get an ice cream cone instead of Artic Circle. She had a nasty cough and I didn't feel like plaguing any other unsuspecting kid on the playground.

Yes, she is eating the ice cream out of the cone with a spoon.

I obviously didn't get any pictures of the girls with their baskets, but Sof was pretty excited and asked if the Easter Bunny and Santa were friends.

Greg took Claire up and dressed her in her Easter dress and I'm pretty sure she's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Her ankle rolls get me every time.
Sof was excited to fly her new kite!
Claire likes to hang upside down. Maybe it's a nice rest from having to hold up her huge head.
The cutest 3 year old!
Claire didn't like having her face smashed.
Cute Sof and Owen.
Their faces explain this picture perfectly.
They were so cute following each other up the trails.
My little beauty.

The perfect way to spend a weekend. Together, while being uplifted by the prepared messages of Conference, on the day of our Savior's resurrection. It is simple moments like this, that allow me to realize how lucky I am, and how good and loving our Heavenly Father and Savior are. Life is good, love is sweet, and my family is Eternal.

Sofi is 3!

Cute Sofi turned 3 yesterday (04.14.18) and had quite the day of celebration. I decided to throw her a birthday party this year and it actually turned out really fun. I think 3 is going to be a fun age - challenging, but fun.

Sofi is still in love with princesses, and can name them all even if she's never seen their movie, so what better way to ring in her 3rd birthday than by having some cute friends over for a princess tea party?

3 year olds are the best. And so is Greggy. While I was running around with my head cut off, he was providing great entertainment to them. I learned real quick they could care less about decorations and if I have my act together. They just wanted to eat and devoured their lemonade and cupcakes in record time.

Sofi and her cute friends.
It was fun to have my sister and her 2 cute girls come to the party.
They are finally becoming cute friends. Once again, I think 3 will be a magical age.
These 2 cute girls are only 10 weeks apart, but Claire looks gigantic!
Cousins!
Cute Sof always wants to go with the cousins when they have to go home. She watched them drive away until she couldn't see them anymore.
Playing with fun new bubbles.
Greg is determined to make her into a mountain biker.

Per our new tradition this year, we went to Boondock's to bowl for free. Sof was so excited to ride the ponies (the little carousel, which ended up being broken), and was so excited to get her own bowling shoes this time.

I couldn't stop laughing at Greg's tiny, white boy legs.
Showing off her shoes in the wrong direction.
Sof beat me and lost by 1 point to Greg. It wasn't our best game.

We went to the Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner and Sof downed 2 bowls of noodles and some pepperoni's, and Greg and I pigged out on the salad bar and pizza. Claire was content to nap in her car seat.

Sof is a little lady and chews with her mouth closed. But, I think she moves ever muscle in her face in order to get it done. It's pretty hilarious!

It was such a fun day! Sof was so excited to finally be 3, and it was a full day of celebrating her. I caught myself feeling a little sad that Sof is growing up, that she's not a little baby anymore, but I am also excited that she's not a little baby anymore :). She is becoming so fun, and her little personality is so great! She was a little confused when I showed her pictures of the day she was born. It's crazy to see how much she has changed.

Happy Birthday Sofi Lu! We sure do love ya.

Spring Break in a Flash pt. 2

My sister's and I all had baby girls within 7 months of each other, so it was baby #3's turn to be blessed in Minersville. This was the true reason why we went to Southern Utah. It was fun to get the babes back together since their sojourn in Heaven.

Sof was given this Ariel doll as an early birthday present, and she was ecstatic! Good thing my dad carries a pocket knife, or she would've been ripping it out of the box with her teeth, that's how excited Sof was.
Greg on babe duty!
The three little besties!

The trip was short and sweet, and Sof was so sad to come back home after 1.5 days, but it was better than nothing.

As soon as we got out of the car, she climbed in the tub to have a bath with her cool new Ariel doll!
The love she has for this thing is unreal. And yes, she does say "wandering freak" when singing.
I laugh every time!
