Drive So Far to See Grandma

It's been a couple of months since we have been to Cedar, and I kinda sorta enjoy my trips to Cedar without Greggy (love you!) so we took a quick trip a few weeks before our annual cabin trip the end of June. Sofi was so excited to see "Other Grandma" and knew we would have to "drive so far" to see Grandma's kitty. She is such a champ in the car, and is always so excited to get to Cedar. I love that she loves it there.

Soooo excited!
First snowcone of the season!
She ate every meal on this thing.
Pretty much every waking moment was spent in the sand box.
This is before she fell off the hammock and got her first black eye ... :S
Driving the Ranger "All by self"
She couldn't get enough of the watermelon.

It always takes Sofi one full day to accept anywhere new she is going to sleep. This is the morning she was finally back on schedule, in singing to her kitties. It's hilarious.

Poor Sof. The day we left, we kept asking her questions.
Do you want to leaves Grandma's? "No."
Do you want to go back home? "No."
Do you want to go see Daddy? "No."
Do you want to stay her and play? "Yes. Stay here and play!"
(Me too baby girl).

Watching Moana with Aunt Katy

My cute little sister Katy is such an infectious person to be around. She is always happy, smiling and wanting to include everyone. Pretty much all of the good qualities I am lacking, went to her two-fold. Anyway, she found it hilarious to chase Sofi because Sof would run away screaming, "Kinda scary!" Hilarious! Even though Katy is "kinda scary," she is still all of the grandkids favorite aunt.

Painting rocks.
crammed in the backseat with a bookshelf that miraculously fit in the car. It became a nice leg rest.

We got home Friday in time to have dinner with Greggy. Cute guy missed us. I think trips away to Cedar are good for everyone. :). Now only 3 weeks until the Cabin! Sof keeps talking about "Sleeping with the big tree's." It's my happy place, and happy I shall be.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day was Greg's very first holiday off since New Years Day. Puts busy season into perspective for you, doesn't it? Poor guy doesn't have a yard to work in, so I'm sure the day could have been more eventful.

We made cute signs for Grandma LuAnn and Aunt Lindsey. Poor Greg. I always feel for him this time of year, as he silently goes about his day.
She has a thing for lawnmowers.
She loves babies! I am so excited for her to be a big sister.

Random happenings: Sofi is now tall enough to grab and hang from this bar at the park. It's a big moment for her people!

For some reason, Sofi likes to sit on the grass out front and watch the cars go by.
We made it down to Bountiful Main Street to see the chalk art after a rain storm, but the highlight for Sofi was playing in the fountain. Who cares about chalk?
The local plant lady. She likes to sit outside by her plants every morning after breakfast.
And, point!

6 Whole Years

I tried to surprise Greg with an overnight getaway to Park City for our 6 year anniversary. Apparently, my pregnancy brain ruined it by telling Greg earlier - which I don't remember doing, but oh well. Sofi was watched by Mark & Kathy for a whole night, and I am pleased to say she did well. She got to play with new toys, run wild in a backyard, and go swimming with cousins. We were mildly disappointed to realize she didn't even miss us when we picked her up.

We got to Park City in time to decide where to eat for dinner. We walked up and down Main Street following the BBQ smell we couldn't quite find, but eventually prevailed. Sooooooo Good!!!

We learned Park City is severely lacking in their movie choices, and didn't want to spend $19/ticket on the local musical, so we ended up back at our hotel by 8:00 pm. Talk about some party animals ...

The next day, Greg humored me by perusing the outlets and refusing to enter any stores. He patiently waited outside all of them. How did men survive shopping before smart phones?

We then went up and rode the Alpine Slide. I of course screamed the entire way down while Greg silently raced next to me. It's undetermined who won.

In our jackets. True to Memorial Day weekend, the weather in Park City was not warm. Just like 6 years ago on our honeymoon. Luckily it didn't snow this time.
Workin' it!

After, we stopped at Burger King for a shake and lemonade. We were both so stuffed from dinner the night before and our awesome continental breakfast, that we didn't feel the need to get lunch. Greg sucked his chocolate oreo shake down in 3 seconds flat. Holy! My lemonade was oh so good, and Sof was content to finish it for me when we got home.

We were also able to attend the temple together. Something we haven't done for almost a year. We both go, just separately. It was fun to be able to do sealings together and watch Greg look at everything but the sealer who was trying to make eye contact. He's such an accountant.
