First Day of Preschool!

Sof's first day of Preschool was Sept 6, and she was so excited to wear all of the new things we got her! New shoes, clothes and backpack! She was a little wary to go in, and it was bittersweet to leave her, but she came home saying she had a great time. I can't believe how big she is getting!

Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day Weekend was one for the books! We were finally able to get together with my sister's family up at my Aunt's awesome renovated home in Midway. They live on 7 acres and have a pool, 5 horses, chickens, puppies and a tramp. It is a kid's paradise!

So it turns out my aunt's pool is a salt water pool. It was amazing to not feel absolutely disgusting after swimming.
The horses! Claire would literally cry until she was put back on a horse and was content to sit there the whole time.
That girl was born to ride!
Sof's happy place.

My happy place.

We even got Greg to ride.

The cousin table!
We know they played hard when our kids fall asleep in the car.

What fun we had! And what fun to realize we have horses available to ride so close! We will definitely be back, and I may or may not go without my kids. :)

Backyard Campout

We were sad to not be able to go camping this year. We didn't go because we didn't want a baby screaming the whole time, so we'll plan some awesome trips for next year.

Instead, Greg glamped in the backyard with Sof one night, and she LOVED seeing the stars! (Our poor, deprived first child who goes to bed before it's dark).

Sof didn't fall asleep until after 10:00 pm, and when Greg asked her why she said, "I'm looking at the stars. Want to come look with me?" So Greg went and laid down next to her. How cute is that?!

August Fun

These are always long posts, but it's fun for me to go back and look through pictures of things I forgot we did. August was good to us, and although we didn't do anything spectacular or out of the ordinary, it's still nice to be reminded that we were still able to have fun on what little outings we did have.

Claire in all her inchworming glory!

Relaxing while entertaining. I like his style!
We went up to Midway to see Sage on her birthday, and Sof was happy to serenade us from their karaoke machine.
Let It Go was never sung so cute.
Rolls for days!
We escaped to Morgan one day and got Claire going on the trampoline.
There were a string of mornings where Claire was waking up early, and we were content to be out back while the Sofer's kept sleeping. It still amazes me how much people around us underutilize their backyards.
Whenever we say "hat" she will put whatever it is she's holding on her head.
There's a park in Kaysville that installed this awesome swing! We are beginning to need the West Bountiful park less and less. Hooray!
Ariel dress, pink boots, and Star Wars hairdo. I hope she's always this confident!
Otter pops and picnic tables!
The 400 North park in Bountiful is still my favorite park of all time! So we stopped there one day after a Costco run.

On our way home from the park, we got caught in the craziest hail storm I've ever seen! It started right after I had gone under the last overpass, and there were no trees to hide under, so like an idiot I kept driving. As a result, it ripped the emblem off our car, dented the hood to our car, and thrashed our poor garden. Oh well.

There was hail everywhere!
And some were as big as Sof's palm.
Down the street are the prettiest blackberries you've ever seen! Sof likes to climb through the fence and pick them for us.
Sof requests just about every other day to go have lunch with Daddy at work. Sometimes we oblige her.
The girls giggle all the time in the backseat together and it's one of my favorite things!

Our poor emblemless car.
Already driving like a little old lady.
Cute Claire loves chasing her sister on her Pooh Bear
Slave labor at its finest!
Sof's last day at the splash pad was a success.
Claire has developed a love of books and is content to just sit there and turn the pages back and forth,

She also has started to give books kisses! While reading a picture book of Jesus on Sunday, she kept giving Him kisses. Talk about melting my heart!

Our beautiful Clairey babe turned 11 months old and we are just in love with her! She continues to be content, but when she's mad, watch out! This girl has fire like you wouldn't believe. She is the perfect little addition to our family, and I often find myself just staring at her and smiling.

A happy post-nap baby is the best!
Sof still likes to climb in the crib and steal all of Claire's soft blankies.
Even if this dress was Sof's, I'm convinced it was made for Claire!
Her face says it all!
While Claire does still love to hold keys, her newest obsession is bottles. Doesn't matter what's in them, lotion, Vicks, ranch dressing (featured in this picture), she won't drop it. She didn't let go of it once the whole time on our walk.
There's the cutest bridge Sofi size up the street from us, and we never fail to stop and let her walk across it. I had to snap this one of her! She dressed herself this day and boy was it the best! She picked the shirt and capri's (yes, they are indeed capri's) out all by herself when I took her school shopping, and I think she just looks so cute even if it clashes like crazy!
Across the street from the bridge is this wall Sof has loved to walk on the whole time we've lived here, and I love how joyful she looks running towards me to tickle me with the "fluffy" she's holding. Oh Sof, she's pretty much the greatest!
Here's Claire's perfect down dog. Every day people! Every day.

I love these pictures! Claire is on the left, and Sofi is on the right at the same age!
There's just something about a little baby lip sticking out while drinking from a bowl.

The new Farmington park has quickly become a favorite! It has everything the West Bountiful one has (minus the shade) and is closer, so a win-win for us!

Claire has developed the habit of crying whenever we take her off of or out of something she is enjoying. For example, riding horses, swings, and this merry-go-round at the park. She sat on this thing for the longest time!

She might look like she's crying, but this is her scrunchy-nose cheese smile!
She ate it all!

The girls love playing the piano together. Sof is always the right hand, and Claire pounds away on the lower notes, and I love it!
