September Fun!

The traditional post to throw all of the pictures up that I didn't use in previous posts during the month of September. ENJOY!

Claire doing some "Floor Work" (Said in Fat Amy's voice)

These cute girlies played in my shower for a looooong time one morning. It. Was. AWESOME!
Sof informed me one morning after picking her up from preschool that we needed in car. Good thing toddlers don't run the world.
Claire + the Pooh Bear = Heaven!

Family bike ride!
Sof was so excited one morning to be surrounded by kitties! We see them all the time but knows to not touch the ratty gray one walking behind her (We're not sure what's still holding it together).
Sof has a strange obsession with sitting on this phone box.
We can't decide if Claire loves chocolate or not.
I found Sof downstairs feeding her dolly one day. It pretty much melted my heart!
Sof at her bridge. I'm realizing now we take a lot of morning walks ...

We try and hit the library park when after I pick Sof up from preschool, just so the kids can get the wiggles out before lunch/naps. Sof is getting really good at balancing on her bike!

We went to Cal Ranch one day and spent quite a bit of time trying on cute clothes. Greg is lucky we don't live closer to my uncles store ...
Pray for us!
Claire falling asleep in my arms is really rare, so I had to document it. That, and her awesome bed head!
I'm loving the evil underbite cheeser she's got going on. (No, she doesn't have an underbite).
Sof is really good at collecting dollhouses. So far this is house #3
We escaped to the Centerville Waterfall one day and were thrilled to be the only ones there. As always, the water was freezing and Claire was loving it!
But, Claire hated being in the pack so Sof happily climbed in.
Not sure what either one of us is looking at, but it's fine.
Claire's cheeser smile really is the best thing ever. Especially now that she has a ton of teeth!
Greg didn't appreciate my pun as much as he should have when I told him to turn around and "look at my melons!"
Yes, I was totally cry laughing at myself.

This girl loves animals and books, so put two together and you've got yourself a few moments of blissful silence.
On Claire's birthday, Greg sent this cute pic of home two baby racoons chilling outside the window of one of his firms partners. They were super cute!
Sof was happy to commandeer the high chair we borrowed for Claire and the ball she gave Claire for her birthday.
Oh Sof. Threenagers are the best.
On yet another morning walk, Sof found another kitty. I'm starting to see a trend.
Sof took this picture of me and I don't remember her doing it.
And Greg snapped this picture of me trying to dust the top of my dresser. Like Daughter, like Father.

Claire turns 1!

And boy did she know it was her birthday!

She had the bad habit of waking up ready to go around 5:00 am every morning for a couple of weeks, and her birthday was no exception. BUT, I was able to get her to fall back asleep until 8:00 am. HOLLA! Also, she took a 3 hr nap, which she had never before done in her wee little life, so that was a big accomplishment too! She sure was ringing in the new year!

We had a fun day!

We laughed, played outside, read books, went on a bike ride, danced, chased, and had spaghetti for dinner - everything Claire loves!

I love pictures of Claire standing up. She seriously has the shortest legs known to man!

With her party hat and scepter, she was ready to be pulled around the block.

Claire isn't one to normally leave anything on her head (a reason why she is never wearing a headband or clip), but she left this party hat on her head the whole day. I'm telling ya, she knew it was her special day!

Setting up for the party. In true Claire fashion, she blew a raspberry instead of smiled for the camera.
She kept squeezing the icing between her fingers.
Check out that fist full of icing Claire is eating 🤣
Icing was everywhere! I'm still trying to figure out how she got it all down her back.

We love our little Clairey babe. She came into this world as calm as can be, but is sure taking this life by storm! She has so much passion inside her little body that I often times forget the force she is. What joy we have had this past year of having her in our family, and what happiness we have experienced watching her grow. We can't imagine our lives without our little spitfire, and I know for a fact that she is going places!

Sof Survived the Dentist

And she did great!

I'm not sure if it's because I made Greg take her this time (because it was a complete and utter failure 6 months ago) or because she's matured since her first visit. Regardless, it was awesome getting the pics from Greg and seeing Sof wasn't screaming her head off and Greg wasn't vice holding her face (like I had to). And, I think it helps that there is a TV in the ceiling.

Sofi had zero cavities!! Yay! She was given a token that could be redeemed at a couple of places for a prize or treat. We chose this tiny place in Layton that has the most delicious and affordable cookies!

This is Claire chilling in one of the chairs at the cookie place. You're welcome! 🤣

We have also found this awesome park in Layton with a stream, ducks, shade, and lots of room to run around. I see good things happening there next year!

Chasing a seagull
Claire has a thing for merry-go-rounds.

And we were graced by this absolutely disgusting spider when we were playing in the backyard later that day. It has horns on its back! And it was HUGE!
Lucky for us, Greg killed it with a random brick. Thank you Greg!
