The Davis County Fair & Tour of Utah

Sof was waiting and waiting for the Davis County Fair, and when it finally arrived we went first thing in the morning. It was so cute to watch Claire ride the pony all by herself. She took it very seriously.

I always smile whenever I see my girls on a palomino, because my first horse was a gentle giant named Malone, and he was a palomino too.
Claire loved following this cute mini Wallaby around.
Poor Sof was a true Spjute and was melting in the hot sun.

We found the booth set up by the Davis County Library, and the girls were in heaven. We were the only ones there for awhile and were running around having so much fun. Note to self: Go there first next year!
Claire horded as many rubber ducks as she could and carried them everywhere like this. That girl is good at using her head ... or chin. Sof  made a really cute Superhero!
Sweaty Claire.
I splurged and let Sof get her face painted. She's be on a Spiderman kick for awhile and was so excited to have her face painted all day. Her excitement made it totally worth it.
Super random picture, but this is how life with Claire is. She will push a stool over to wherever she wants and will climb up on the counter and open the cupboards, or over to the fridge and drop everything on the ground. I'm not joking when I say nothing is safe, including Claire. Nothing!

Greg went back to the Fair with us one day.

The Tour of Utah came through Davis County the same week as the Fair, so it seemed like we went from one activity to another. Lucky for us, Claire chose to nap this day so Sof and I went and watched them cruise up 200 North in Kaysville. Those bicyclists are amazing!

We may or may not have left Claire home and chased the bikers to Bountiful ... she was fine. Totally fine ... Greg was appalled. Oh well.

Summer Fun

I bribed Sof into riding her bike around the neighborhood so I could chase her with Claire in the stroller as my attempt at a workout some mornings. It worked better than I thought and snagged this pic one morning of Sof's baby hanging on for dear life! :)

We didn't get many pictures of the fun we had at Cherry Hill this summer, but know we had some fun, lazy days there.
Sof crashing my photo shoot one morning.
They redid the park just across the Hollow from us, and it is awesome! This swing is Claire's nightmare and Sof's favorite.
She may be cute, but boy is this girl mischievous. I'm convinced her brain never stops.
Sofi can be heard whooping and hollering as she makes her way around the park at lightning speed on her scooter.
We kidnapped Owen one day and took him with us to play at the green park. It of course rained, so we made our way to finish playing in the McDonald's play place.
I love this picture! It sums up the chaos of our days pretty well. Claire naked with a bucket on her head, and Sof sliding down the banister in her leotard. I've learned to pick my battles with these two.
We found a yummy shack that makes giant sno cones! We love them.
Here's Sof looking like she just sucked someone's blood.
Claire thought it was fun to climb to the top of the chairs at Cherry Hill. She would then sit on the top and wait for it to tip backwards and laugh hysterically as I lunged to catch her. Sometimes I'm convinced she feels no pain.

Greg's Final Mini Enduro

Greg's 4th and Final Mini Enduro was up at Snowbird(?). I honestly have no idea how people keep all of the ski resorts straight. Just know it was one of them up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Yes, after 28 years I finally know most of the canyons in Northern Utah. Too much geography going on up here.

This cute girl lives and breathes summer.
She knows no fear. It's as steep as it looks.
My little sidekick and fellow cheerleader. She's quite the little screamer.

On the way back down the mountain to drive over to the 2nd race. The girls wanted to climb on top of this boulder and I'm pretty sure Claire is flashing the ski lodge. She may or may not have learned that from her father.
Nothing like a clear, mountain sky.
Finish Line Selfie.

2 proud little girlies.

Greg ended up getting 4th overall, which was pretty exciting! He was given a picture frame as a congratulatory gift, which I'm pretty sure was added to the DI pile. He did great and we had a lot of fun cheering him on!
