Family Pics 2021

I had high hopes of getting some updated family pics this year. Our last professional photo taken was when Claire was 10 days old, so we were in serious need of an update. This is the result, and I'm SOOO happy with how they turned out!

Easter Break 2021

It just so happened that Sofia's Spring Break lined right up with the Easter weekend, so we took full advantage and headed south for some sunshine. My parents were the only ones home that week, so it was fun getting to spend lots of time with them.

We left Tuesday and pulled in just in time to have dinner. It happened to be my Dad's 61st birthday, so we made sure to make him feel special! Steaks for dinner, and Claire chowed down. Sof had her fair share of rice. Grandma knows what's what.

The weather was absolutely beautiful in Southern Utah this week. Wednesday, we took the girls to the park, then Grandma treated us to a treat from Hermie's. Sof downed her ice cream and Claire traded my mom her ice cream for my mom's drink. It was hilarious. And she discovered a lemon. This video is the result.

Thursday, we spent the day in St. George, and it was so much fun! We love the Tonaquint park, but we didn't have to go there this year. We found even better places that were nowhere near as crowded. A win-win for all!

The water was on near the Tabernacle. I have absolutely no idea why I've never taken Greg or the girls there their entire lives, but from now on this is where we are going. It was so much fun!

There was a carousel in the park, and the kids were free! It was $1 for me to ride with them. Totally worth it!

After playing in the water, my mom treated us again to Yogurtland. It is our absolute favorite place of all time for FroYo, so it was a must-have. Claire downed her Coconut in 10 seconds flat, and wanted more, but Sof wouldn't share 🤣. Afterwards we braved Old Navy so my mom could get all of the grandkids shirts for Easter. For some reason there were no carts in Old Navy, so we literally lost Claire maybe 9 times. It was not awesome.

While in St. George, we stopped at the Lifetime store where my Mom bought 2 wiggle cars. After we got the girls in bed that night, I watched while my Dad put them together :). Then we took them for a spin. It was hilarious!

Friday was our day to vedge while we waited for the rest of the family to get to town. We went up to my Grandpa's townhouse and laid claim to some heirlooms I would like to inherit, and then we went swimming, which wasn't a very great experience. We learned Cedar's Rec Center has way too many rules for us to actually have fun. Okay, maybe it was just me, but I learned my lesson.

Our love for the Samurai runs deep!

It has long been a tradition of my family's to go spend the day at the park in Virgin, UT. We take a lunch and play at the park and always get sunburned palying Softball - that part is non-negotiable.

My grandparent's happened upon the park one day while my Dad was little, and they made it a tradition to go every year since. It is a special memory for me, and it's one I want my girls to have as well.

Shelby is 14. Can you believe it? I'm happy to report I finally have a sister who looks like me. Yay!
Sof tried softball and has been hooked ever since!
Claire was hangry and was hoarding all of her toys.
After having a snack, she decided to try softball. She was pretty good!

When Claire says her bedtime prayer, she will press her face into her pillow and not get a good breath of air until she's done. Afterwards, she takes a huge breath of air as if she's been suffocating. It's kind of hilarious, and I finally got it on video!

We got back too late Saturday to be able to safely make the drive home Sunday. I didn't bring the girls Easter baskets, thinking they would wake up at home on Easter Sunday. Luckily, I had bought a few last-minute things while in Cedar, so they were so thrilled to wake up to candy, a toy, and an outfit on Easter Sunday. While it was sad to not have Greg there, it was extra special for the girls to wake up with their cousisn on Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day.

Anxiously waiting to find their baskets.
These rainbow bunnies feel just like the real thing. It was love at first sight! Sof promptly named hers "Duckless"
Claire's posing in her new outfit. Her model face kills me! I don't know where she learned to do this, but it gets me every time.
Meanwhile in Kaysville, Greg is anxiously awaiting our arrival. Poor guy! Next time we're all going to make more of an effort to be together on Easter.

March Video Evidence :)

I found so many funny video's I took in March, that I feel like they deserve their own post.

Claire and I were dying one morning because Alexa just would not listen to anything Sofi would ask her to do. It was hilarious!

One rainy afternoon resulted in jumping off the couch. Claire at the end, "I did it!" 😂

The Goofy Movie is a hit at our house. It's even better when Greg gets involved.

It's not until I rewatch videos when I actually realize what Claire is doing in them. Here I am thinking she looks adorable in her neckless kitty sweatshirt, when in reality she's playing with her food and neither Greg nor I notice. What does that say about Claire, and what does that say about us?

The girls love performing on our tramp. And Claire loves the encore.

Sof's Leprechaun joke. It was actually pretty good!

This is my favorite video! Claire isn't the greatest driver. I can't figure out whether she really is that bad or if she just likes hearing her sister scream. Regardless, luckily Sof has cat-like-speedy-reflexes, because I was too busy laughing to be able to function properly.

Sof's getting really strong! Enjoy it now girlfriend.

I was dying at Sof! This video will be great blackmail one day! 😂😂😂

March Madness

I'm frantically trying to catch up on the blog, so here is our March Madness. It was a fun month!

They continue to be the cutest little besties.
We had an "Armor of God" FHE lesson one night. This is the best we could do 😂. If you ask me, that Breastplate of Righteousness is spot on!
Cherry Hill opened!!
We borrowed Mark & Kathy's awesome ebikes and cruised the town one day. They are so much fun!
The girls loved them too!

Oh Mittens. He does love Claire!
Matchy matchy!
This was their bow after an amazing tramp performance!
They are the cutest little models for my boutique.
The leprechaun's found us!
And they turned our house upside down!
Believe it or not, Claire keeps things very tidy. She made her own placemat for her spaghetti lunch because she knew she would spill. It was the cutest!
1st official movie as a family in over a year! Raya and the Lost Dragon was alright ...
J&J trip
Planting onions, among other things.
She's getting so big!
More fun at Cherry Hill
