Memorial Day Weekend

Sof was able to have her own water slide last week because of the beautiful warm weather! Our house quickly becomes the party house, and Sof's little pool and swing set gets overrun with neighbor kids.

taking a gogurt break in our awesome repurposed chairs!
Greg took the girls to the park one day and Claire realized she loves to eat sand...
Her cheeks are squished in one way or another All. Day. Long

We got passes to Cherry Hill this summer and it opened on Friday. Sof was so excited to go! She's been asking about the fun slides ever since we moved to Kaysville, and we finally made it a reality for her. I think we will have fun there this summer.

Our Clairy-babe turned 8 months old!

Happy 7 years to us!

We were able to escape for a few hours on Saturday for our annual temple trip and dinner at Olive Garden. Toby graciously watched the girls all by himself - he's such a saint!
I got the oversized manicotti and jumbo meatball meal, and they weren't joking. My meatball was as a big as a baseball and soooooooo good!

Greg was all gung-ho Monday morning and took Sof first thing in the morning to try and get the doorbuster dishwasher from RC Willey, since every time ours runs, its screams a little louder each time. Because I didn't instantly throw Sof in the car, and let her eat her breakfast, he missed out on the dishwasher sale. But, just as he was about to leave, he snagged a salesman to see if he could have the floor model, and the salesman miraculously pulled a ticket out of his pocket for the dishwasher Greg thought he had missed and gave it to him! Horray for us and horray for hugely discounted dishwashers and a happy Greggy!!

The before
The during - he literally had stuff everywhere!!
The after. Happy Anniversary to us!

We went to visit the family members in the Centerville cemetery, then treated ourselves to Dairy Queen. What a fun day we had.

May Days

Warm weather has arrived!!!

This girl is ready for the mountain!
Our tulips got huge!! I used Claire as a height comparison.

Patiently waiting. Time for bumper pads!

Sof and one of the cute boys next door have become quite the cute little friends. They can be seen here taking a walk together, holding hands.

And Camden got sick of Sof, so this is the result. I was laughing my head off. Greg was rolling his eyes. I don't blame the little guy - sometimes I want to do that exact same thing.

Rediscovering the baby toys
A play group has started every Tuesday, and it has been so fun! The moms get together, the kids get together, and we get to discover a new park each week. It's a win for all!
Going biking together.
Our weekly excursion to the West Bountiful park.

A Sofi burrito.
Spoiled Sof in the backseat on our way to Walmart.
The couch ate Claire, and I'm loving everything about it!
She's getting so good at riding her bike!
But likes to rediscover this little beauty every once in a while. Take time to notice she can reach the pedals!! It's been 3 years in the making, and it's finally happened. Horray for growing legs!
Mothers Day 2018, and it was the greatest!
There is such a fun nature trail just around the block from us, and we love it there!

I took the girls walking on the Lagoon trail and tried to get some cute pics. I quickly learned my outdated iPhone is no match for a regular camera. Oh well, these will have to do for now.

Sof helping Claire hold her giant head up.

Blowing fluffies.
Catching cotton.
Jumping like a crazy person.
She's adorable.

And, because Claire is pretty much the cutest thing around her lately, here is a video of her. Ignore my mom voice please and soak up her chubby cuteness!

This Is The Place and Pretty Valley

This is the Place Heritage Park had their fun $5 Train Day yesterday, so we called up some friends and had a fun day. We loved it so much last year, I was sure to put it on the calendar again. This is the Place is so much fun! I wish we lived closer, and then I could justify getting a Season Pass.

Does she look ready or what?
Doing chores while Claire napped.

Poor Sof, all she wanted to do was ride the ponies. As soon as we walked up to them, they put out the sign saying the ponies were going to have lunch and she was heartbroken. They literally had 1 pony left to ride in the round and they wouldn't put Sof on it. I almost brought the hammer down! But, I reigned it in and we went to pet the animals instead. Yes, she asked to ride the ponies about 148 times before we finally were able to.

This sheep was huge!
The chicks were 3 for $1. You better believe I was tempted!
"Mom, look at this cute little picnic table."
This guy right here made the trip. I love pigs!
Finally! Yes, we were in line before the ponies got hooked up. Anything to appease my anxious child.

Riding Cache.
There never was a happier girl than this one right here.

"Mom, can I have a bunny?"
Finally on the train.
Panning for gold.
Proof Claire and I were there.
I bought her a bag to put rocks in. She then informed me she didn't want to take the rocks home and buried her bag instead. oh Sof.
Riding the baby train! It was so fun and I've decided I want one.
Besties!
Finally! This girl was so good until she was exhausted, and passed out in my arms. Not even the cannon could wake her.

While on the train at 4:00 pm, we got a phone call from a Greg who was distraught to find out we were still in Salt Lake, which meant we were going to be late for his family's hike at 4:30 pm. Oh well, we hurried as fast as we could (yes, even denying Sofi another ride on the ponies) and made it up to Pretty Valley in time to roast Hot Dogs.

Roasting a hot dog. She even took a bite which she spit out. But hey, she took a bite!
Claire found a cookie
Sof got some air!

Bringing up the rear.

The hike was killer trying to keep up with Greg on the way up, and I almost killed myself and Claire 4+ times on the way down, but we made it. The flowers were so pretty that Greg and I were wondering why we hike up in the fall when the flowers are way prettier in the Spring? What a fun day we had.
