Temple Square Tulips 2019

We went for the 3rd year in a row to see the Tulips at Temple Square, and the week of Sof's birthday continues to be the best time to go. It's become such a fun little tradition for us.

Her face! :)
These two were so cute to watch follow each other around. Claire has endless amounts of energy, and is surprisingly fast, so Sof was my gopher to go get her off grass I wasn't sure she should be walking on. I got more than one look from the grounds crew.

Cute Sof. I told her to strike a pose and the following pictures are the result. You're welcome.

And to prove Claire was still there (and still eating) here ya go.

We have a fun neighborhood friend who lives in the Church Office Building, so she came down to see us and challenged Sofi to a race. It was pretty impressive to watch her race Sofi in 4" heels.
And, let's all take a moment to notice Sofi's form. She may be a distance runner after all.

Claire came in a close 3rd.
Jen couldn't believe I'd never been up to the observation deck (the 26th floor) of the Church Building,  but it was closed so she took me to her office on the 25th floor. It was amazing to look down and see everything from that height. It also made me a little nauseous watching my kids hugging the window.

Behold, a smiling picture.
Sof found a bird to chase.

On our way out, Linda Margots was practicing the organ in the Tabernacle, and I had never been inside to hear the amazing accoustics people rave about, and it truly was just that, Amazing! She ripped paper up on stage, she dropped a pin, and guess what? I heard it clear in the back of the tabernacle! Sofi and I could've stayed and listened all afternoon, but we had a hangry Claire with us, so we were only able to stay for 1 song. But that alone was worth it. The pioneers were amazing in what they constructed!

Spring Break 2019

I came to the realization one day, that if Greg stays in Public Accounting, he will never be able to spend a Spring Break with us. What a tragic thought!

Killing time before heading south!
It took awhile, but this cute girlie eventually succumbed to sleep. And, she slept about an hour, which is a new record!
We were all in need of a break by the time we got to Beaver, so we stopped at the McDonald's, got courtesy cones and played for about 40 minutes. It was marvelous!
We made it and the girls were so excited to play at the park next door with no shoes! It was glorious!

Because I was sick and missed going to St George the last time we were down, we were up and ready to go Wednesday morning. Sofi was so excited to go to the Dinosaur Park (All-abilities Park) and we were even able to talk my mom into going down with us. It was fun having her there!

The water was COLD and Claire wasn't sure exactly what to do at first.
But she figured it out.
It's a good thing after all that my Mom came down with us. Keeping track of 2 kids in a park full of Northern Utah was a challenge in and of itself.
Sofi found a friend.
This swing was in high demand.

Claire is living her best life! 🤣
This was a fun "relaxing" toy, where the kids were still being entertaining but able to sit there. It rocks back and forth.
So big!

My mom treated us to FroYo after the park, and Claire wasn't a huge fan. Whenever she is ready to
leave somewhere, she grabs the diaper bag and will drag it to the door. It's hilarious!

We scored Sof some new watermelon flip-flops in the St George Old Navy, and she was so excited!

After St George, we didn't really do anything else too exciting. It was kind of nice to just be around people and have someone else cook my meals. It was a busy week for my little sister (she's Graduating HS), so she wasn't around much, but that ended up being a good thing because I was able to get to know my other sister Shelby better. Shelby was 2 when I went to college, and I've never moved back since, so I don't know her as well as I should. After this week, I came to learn how amazing of a person she is! She is such a fun aunt too.

Trampoline bliss.
There is a horse pasture a block over from my parent's house that has been there for as long as I've been alive. I took Sof to see the horses and she was amazed to be on ground parallel to this horses head! Luckily he was friendly.
Claire is always the entertainer. She was content to stand on these stools while sitting in her high chair during every meal. She really is so funny!

We went one night over to my Elementary School and played on the playground. It's always so fun to go play there and remember my glory days in Elementary ... Ha! (Greg will roll his eyes at that).

Monkey Sof. It's amazing what this girl can climb. Now that her legs are longer, I think she's making up for lost time.
Claire LOVES Mocha. She LOVES her! And lucky for us, Mocha is a really good kid dog. Claire loved to walk behind her while holding onto her tail.
Okay, take a moment and look at Claire's leg! And then her foot! Yikes!!
The best part? I have a picture of me going down the slide with Sof and her leg is in the exact same position!
Luckily little girlfriend is made of rubber.
Monkey Sof is at it again.
This is the first time I put Claire in a big kid swing, and she did so good!! Look at her proud little grin.
Shelby was doing tricks and fell out of the swing. I was laughing my head off. Totally worth her pain!
Sof was on vacation and spent way too much time watching shows on Grandma's ipad. But hey, it's vacation so I can't fault her for that. She definitely doesn't get to do that at home.
Shelby pampered me one night and did my nails all cutesy for Easter. But seriously, how cute are they?! She has a gift.

I planned the trip down and back so that we wouldn't be traveling either direction on a busy day, so the trip was an enjoyable one. 3 days is enough time to spend in Cedar, enjoy our time there, and be excited to come back home!
