Disneyland!! The excitement of getting there

Our Disneyland trip didn't happen in 2020 (big surprise), and it didn't happen in 2021 either, so we were determined to go this year once it opened back up.

AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

The girls were super excited, and we counted down the days until we could go. Let's just say waiting for October 18th to come was a very long wait

We decided to fly to CA, and it was worth every minute. Instead of a 12 hour car ride, we had a 1 hr and 55 min flight. Let's just say I'm never driving to Disneyland ever again. The girls were excited for the plane, but the excitement was heightened when we brought out the treat bags and devices for them to enjoy. They flew pretty well and we were thrilled to land.

We of course were at the furthest terminal, but made it with time to spare.
Walking out into the beautiful CA weather!
We kept hearing about these cargo ships just floating, stranded, off the coast of CA, but it was a whole different story actually seeing them. They were HUGE and everywhere. It was crazy.

We booked an Uber, barely somehow fit all of our stuff in the trunk, and made it to our hotel around 3:30pm. The girls were so excited to be some where new and were beyond thrilled when we told them to change into their swimming suits! It was only 66 degrees, but it was warmer than we were used to. But, we quickly found out the pools weren't heated. YIKES! Claire was the only one brave enough to cannon ball in multiple times. The rest of us hung out at the hot tub.

Claire, the fish.
You can see the ferris wheel in California Adventures from our hotel!
We finally got Claire to quit swimming before hypothermia set in. Girlfriends lips were turning blue.

They had they a fun llama garden next to the pool.
We quickly got the girls changed back into clothes and headed to Downtown Disney. We were serious about getting there early and wanted to see how long the walk would take. We've stayed at this same hotel before, and I forgot how beautiful the walkway was. Look at those tree's! They are so cool!

We made it! It was so fun to see the sights.
Sof loved the lego store.
We were amazed watching the Confectionaries handdraw each caramel apple. No wonder they're so expensive!
We walked back out and ate at the diner next to our hotel. It was surprisingly good and the girls ate well.
We were ready to party!
