Lagoon and Dead Alternators

November 1st proved to be a beautiful Fall day. We spent time outside, and when Greg got home for work took advantage of the beautiful day and went to walk the Lagoon Trail.

Playing princesses with a friend. These girls are 4 days apart. You would never know.

Two cute pictures taken on the same log. Claire was 13 months, Sofi was 18. Here's to hoping Claire's hair starts to grow.

All week weird lights had been lit up on the dashboard of our Santa Fe. I got the alternator tested and didn't trust the advice of the guy at the store (bless his heart), so after the Lagoon trail, we took it to a Centerville store we trusted, and the guy who tested the alternator told us to leave the car running and drive it over to where we would have it fixed; that's how fast the part was going out. Needless to say, he was right, and we were 2 stores away from where we would have it fixed. And yes, it lost power in their parking lot.

This is us stranded.

Luckily we had a lot of snacks in the diaper bag, and both girls were content to munch on treats while we waited for Uncle Toby to kindly come and pick us up and take us home. We owe him big. And, Sof got her wish of having pizza for dinner. There was a Little Caesar's in the same parking lot.

This experience made me grate for promptings, and grateful I was insistent on Greg taking us to Centerville. Had we not, we would've have had the luck we did. God is good. He is real, and he is aware of us no matter how small or insignificant our circumstances.

That night Greg was able to take his frustrations out on this little beaut while tilling our garden. I think he enjoyed it a little too much.
