Busy Season Trip to Cedar

We were packed and ready to go Thursday morning to go to Cedar City. Sofi woke up so excited to see Grandma Jan and it was all I could do to get her to Preschool on time. Claire and I were packed and ready to go when we picked Sofi back up. While we were eating lunch, I got a phone call from Greg who informed me that I had mixed up my weekends and if we went to Cedar we would miss the Annual Spjute party. I asked Sofi multiple times what she would want to do, and she said Cedar every time (and don't forget everything was packed), so off we went to Cedar City.

Having fun waiting for Sofi.
She sleeps in the car for a grand total of 40 minutes. But hey, it's better than nothing.
Chasing Grandma's kitty and wondering where she went.
It's important to keep your ears warm while going #1.
Shelby's dog has destroyed my parent's backyard, so luckily there is a fun park next door.

Facetiming poor, busy Greggy

Sof had a blast being chased by my mom one night out playing.

Neither girl was cooperating for a picture.
My grandma loves them anyway.
This isn't the best picture, but on the last night in Cedar the big red hill was all lit up, and somehow it made the whole trip worth it. Just about every time I take a trip to Cedar, I wonder why I do it because my girls drive my crazy, and most of the time I'm by myself with them, but when I see beautiful scenery like this, scenery I rarely see anymore, it makes it worth it. And, the fact that my girls love Cedar City and their grandparents makes it worth it too.
Driving back west, the clouds were amazing. It was the calm before the storm.
Claire became good friends with this swing.

Cedar High's Girls Basketball team was in the play-offs for the State Championship while we were down there, so my parents went each night and each night they won, everyone got more excited. Sofi wanted so bad to watch that my dad snuck her in. This is her excited face watching the CHS girls win the State Championship for the first time ever.

Clairey loves Mocha.
This is the picture Greg sent me of the Spjute movie night. It looked fun, but I kept telling myself I would've had to take Claire home early anyway.

February in a Flash

One of these days, she'll smile when we take selfies. Until then ...
high-centered. #shortlegproblems
Sofi's face! 🤣
Sof always snaps the most attractive pictures of me.
She's for hire! The best nail painter around.
We kidnapped a friend and took her sledding. Best idea I've had in a long time.
Sof's obsession with mermaid goes strong - until she actually has the chance to talk to one.
The cutest sleepover I ever did see! Greg slept horrible. Apparently Sofi kicks in all the right places.
The yellow and chair rails are gone! This pictures makes me so happy.
She requested a pink and purple room, but the tape alone was so cute I left it up for awhile.
I love her personality!
A rare day of sunshine. The chalk art only lasted about an hour before the snow melted it away.
The finished result.
Sof practicing her mermaid skills.
I love her bum cheeks hanging out!
She is one determined little girl!
And she's a mermaid!
Claire LOVES the tortoise at the aquarium. This is before I knew she had knelt in tortoise pee. It smelled absolutely disgusting and I took her pants off pronto.
Petting Gambino, the Asian Monitor.
She loves to help me vacuum, but she doesn't love my vacuum is louder than hers.
She climbs EVERYTHING!
She gave me some privacy in the public bathroom. I was dying!
Feeding the geese at Farmington Pond.
The pond was frozen. They are a lot braver than me.
Sof's Chris Farley face is hilarious!
Beautiful!
#PonytailGoals
Greg is exhausted. The end of April can't come soon enough.

Random January Bliss

We love sledding! And I love that Sof prefers to go down by herself and carry the sled back up. Claire is happy to sit and watch.

Claire in her puffy snow suit is one of my favorite things!
So much sass in such a tiny body!
We frequent the local cesspool (AKA Arctic Cirlc) often. Free cones > my fear of germs
Every day people. We are on this swing every day.
She has got the "cheese" down!
Working until midnight on a hard oak chair. he lives the dream.

We made it early to one of Hogle Zoo's free days and scored a parking spot in the parking lot! Who knew the key to that is going early? We missed the crowds and had a great time! And my phone died so there aren't many pictures.

Forget the animals. All these girlies wanted to do was ride the carousel.
Claire loved it!
She loves book. And necklaces. And being naked.
Did I mention she loves necklaces?
