Quincey's Blessing Day

We blessed our Beautiful Quincey Rose just after she turned 2 months old on the first Sunday of May, and it was a beautiful day! The weather was still a bit cold so we crammed everyone into our house, and we had so much fun celebrating our special little babe and spending time together.

Greg gave her a really special blessing, and she was so calm and smiley during the whole thing. I had more than one uncle tell me how alert and smiley she was in the circle. She is such a sweet little spirit.

We had delicious Cafe Rio style pork with all the fixin's. We had leftovers for more than a week - no complaining over here!

It was so fun to have family gathered in our home - it doesn't happen near often enough, and Greg and I realized how out of our element we are when we have company over. We aren't ones to ever really host a gathering, but it was fun while it lasted.

I made Quincey's special blessing dress, and it's a good thing she is so tiny because it literally fit her like a glove. It was kind of a miracle to get it off of her. But, she was beautiful and only needs to wear it once anyway. It is always so fun for me to create a dress for my girlies and to have them wear it. They are all as beautiful and unique as their dresses. Having girls is so much fun!

May was a busy month. Having Sacrament via Zoom comes in handy when we have family all over the country. She was supported in person and online.

We love you Quincey and can't wait to see all of the amazing things in store for you!

April Shenanigans

 April was a fun month. Here is a photo dump of everything we did.

Claire went through a phase where she was using this cat tree as an extra boost if she was needing to reach something high. Somehow she always managed to reach whatever she needed without falling over. It was pretty impressive. It was always hilarious to find these climbing contraptions all over the house.

Greg took the girls to Get Air one night and they were so excited to be there when the lights turned off.

She always holds her little hands like this. I absolutely love it!
General Conference April 2022. I remember thinking in October 2021 that I would have a baby in the next conference. It's fun to look back and reflect on past thoughts to only realize they've come to past.
We loved having Aunt Katy with us during the Sunday Sessions.
Getting some chunk
Multi-tasking at its finest. Practicing the piano and petting her cat all in one sitting.

Claire see's a hill and has to roll down it. She does it so fast sometimes.

Still holding her hands, and I still love it.
This is how the girls ride home. Whenever we hit our street they jump out of their seats and bearhug the one in front of them. It's hilarious. And I really hope we never get pulled over.
Getting more and more smiley :).

That one time I got an email in February about Kaysville 6u softball signups and missed it because I was in the hospital with a newborn. When I finally resurrected said email from my inbox, I was way too late in signing Sofia up. She was 13th on the waiting list and had no chance of getting on a team this year. So what did I do? I got roped into volunteering as a coach so my daughter could play on a team. If that's not true love, I don't know what is.

Quincey was an absolute champ all 10 games or 5 weeks of softball. However you want to look at it. She was content to sit in her carseat and wait it out. I am never joking when I say she is the best.
She is in her element.
And she loved having me as a coach! I did my best, and that's all anyone could've asked for. Not sure I will ever volunteer again, but it was fun while it lasted.
We went hiking down our favorite hike one beautiful afternoon. It was so strange to see barely any water coming down the creek. It is a dry year!
Claire in the wild is a magical thing.
A year ago, I wouldn't recognize the girl Claire is today. She is so helpful, responsible, and the best big sister. Singing, Preschool, and becoming a big sister have done wondrous things for her!

We like to stop and play at the Kaysville Elementary park every so often whenever we are in the area. We found this death slide and the slo-mo almost does it justice. I flew down it and let's just say it hits you in all the wrong places.

The many faces of Quincey.
The best little helpers! Quincey is so lucky to have these cuties as her older sisters.
Whenever it was anyone's birthday in Claire's preschool class, the teacher would let them pick a theme for their day. A cute kid chose "costumes" and Claire took it very seriously. She wore her witch costume and was the cutest one there!

I need to take a moment and publicly thank Greg for the incredible help he was this time around with Baby #3. He really stepped up, and I think my recovery was so well because of everything he helped with. He would still wake up early and work from the kitchen counter until the girls woke up. He would then get them breakfast, pack Sofi's lunch, and get her off to school while most mornings I lay like a slug in Quincey's room, sleeping in the chair. I was able to catch up on so much sleep, and I couldn't have done it without him. He is never anyone to ask for recognition, and I never tell him enough just how much I love and appreciate him and the person he is in our lives. So Greggy, I love you. I need you. and you are so amazingly good at noticing what people need and then doing your best to fill that responsibility.

The absolute best daddy ever! We are the luckiest.
This is how Claire survived most of the softball games.

Sometimes days are like this. I'm in pure survival mode ...

And then the day is made extra special by ending with a breathtaking sunset like this one.

I took Claire down the Hollow one day and she did so good! It was her first time riding and she flew along like she'd been doing it every day.

Because why wouldn't she stop and try to climb through this tube?
My beautiful babe.
Scrub a dub dub ... 3 girlies in a tub.

I often wonder why Claire is so obnoxious ...

Greg excitedly sent me an email one day telling me Brian Stokes Mitchell was coming to Salt Lake. I know how much Greg enjoys his music, so I told him to book the tickets. Quincey wasn't even 2 months old, and we left her in the care of April to feed and put to bed. You're a rockstar April! And you helped make one of Greg's dreams come true. The concert was amazing!

This was my first time being in Abravanel Hall. The architecture was amazing!

2 months old!

2 months old!
* so smiley
* Loves her older sisters and watching them run wild through the house
* [almost] sleeping through the night.
* Has absolutely no problem with her carseat, whatsoever
* Still so snuggly
* Is so aware!
* Has the strongest gaze of any newborn I've ever met. She has only gone slightly cross-eyed once.
Dandelion heaven.
Claire has always had the strangest fascination with grates.

We went walking around the Kaysville ponds one day, and I was doing my best to keep up with Claire while she rode her bike around. It made me so happy to see she had ditched her bike to go running through this gaggle of geese. She is hilarious! If I could strap a video camera to her one day, I would.

Sof was pretty excited to go mountain biking on her new bike.

Claire was so excited to have her Daddy ride up and down the street with her.

I think you can guess who the favorite parent is around here, and I don't blame the girls one bit.
