Oregon! pt. 2

We had this really cool tree by our yurt that was perfect for Sof to climb.

Aunt Sybil was awesome and busted out bubbles at sunset. Who knew the pictures would be so cool?

True to tradition, Mark and Kathy planned an epic scavenger hunt for the grandkids that involved walking everywhere they possibly could.

Poor Claire and Henry. As soon as they got to the bleachers, the big kids were off to find another clue.
Luckily we had Toby to entertain Claire.
Sof took reading the map very seriously.
I'm not exactly sure why it looks like Greg peed his pants, but it's hilarious.
This picture kills me.
I think the endless days of playing on the beach finally caught up to Sof.
I'd wanted to go to the lighthouse the whole trip, and we finally found time on Thursday. We had fun going with Brian, Clarissa, and their kids.
These two were seriously the cutest little buddies!
Claire was content to explore everything barefoot.
The cool octopus tree is made even better by fun cousins!
Our final trip to the Tillamook factory!

We had a 12 hour drive home Friday, so we got as much packed as we could Thursday night so we could leave ASAP Friday morning. Unfortunately by Friday, Claire had figured out how to sleep in so we had to wake her up.

Sofi refused to wake up.
Claire was content to have pepperoni's for breakfast.
The last pic of Claire in our campground. We had a good time.
Playing while we packed.
We woke the girls up around 6:30 am and Sof finally crashed around 4:00. Claire was still going strong with no naps.
The force is strong with that one.
We stopped at a McDonald's somewhere in Idaho and still had 2.5 hours to go until home ... the girls traveled amazing!
I know I fought the idea of a van, but that 3rd row is a magical place when it comes to long road trips with kids. Greg was content to race us home while we watched movies in the backseat.

Let it be known that Claire finally fell asleep: 1. in her carseat, 2. with her shoes on. She's crazy when she's tired, but she fell asleep 45 minutes before we got home after traveling for 12+ hours. She's the best, and we made it home in one piece.

We are already counting down the days until we can go back to Oregon.
