Christmas Day

The kids slept in until 8:00 am Christmas morning, which was awesome! Greg, however, woke up much earlier (he paid for it later). Sof was a little tentative at discovering what Santa had brought her, but once she saw her pile she was super excited. Claire, on the other hand was her usual mellow self, content to lay there and observe.

"My minion!"
For a full week before Christmas, Sof kept asking her Daddy to "Open the fishies." I have since learned she can't be trusted with a secret.

Greg woke up early to prepare scones. He found this recipe online. The scones were really good, but so greasy that I ate 2 and was destroyed for the rest of the day. Poor Greg felt the same way. The following pictures will show how much.

Dead asleep in the middle of the chaos.
Still asleep. Sof has since become obsessed with The Polar Express.
That's my husband everyone. When he came back inside, he said two old guys drove by and both were laughing their heads off. Sometimes his confidence is admirable, other times it's astounding.
Her first snowman! (doing the disco).
The day was made complete by this little beaut turning 3 months old. She weighs 13.8 lbs and is about 23" long.
We absolutely love her!

And because I never took a picture, Greg received a Nintendo classic for Christmas. Claire and I found it for him at Target when she was just 2 weeks old - her first experience with society was driving like a crazy person to Target to get the dang thing before it sold out. We were obviously successful. Greg gave me cute pink booties and a beautiful marble rolling pin. I have yet to use it - it's too pretty.
