THE SPJUTE FAMILY: January 2024

Would you believe me if I told you that I had never been to the State Capital Building? I've walked around it, sure, but in it? Never.

I've always wanted to take the girls to see the Cherry Blossoms and we made it happen one day, even after Greg said we had missed the blossoms. But guess what? Because Spring was so late this year we went on quite possibly the most perfect day. So moral of the story? Don't listen to Greg 😜.

The details of this building were AMAZING! I think in my next life, I'll be an architect. I could've spent all day walking around admiring everything.

The prettiest day with the best people! Life is good.

April was the strangest month, weather-wise. Mother Nature sure had a hard time letting go of Winter. We had it all - Rain, Snow, Sleet, and Sun. Literally. But we sure had fun no matter the weather. I'm putting in a lot of video's, solely for me to be able to remember our sweet little daughter's and the fun we all had together, but I hope those of you reading this are able to watch them as well. These are the good days, and I'm doing my best to soak them in while I can.

Watching Claire do the Hula in her heels just might be one of my new favorite things.

Or maybe it's having her paint my toenails whatever color she wants? She vetoed my choices but I couldn't complain too bad since I wasn't the one having to do it.

Greg surprised the girls one day and took them to the Mario movie. He videoed it, but his videos don't upload to the blog, so just believe me when I say it was adorable and the girls were super excited!

We discovered these fish at J&J Nursery, and it was Claire's new favorite thing. And Greg's. He could walk around and look at plants to his hearts content while we all had our hands in playing with the fish. It's a win-win for all if you ask me.

We went to the Park on Angel Street and had a blast!

I still mean it when I say becoming a big sister was the best thing that happened to Claire. And she's dang good at it too!

The sun came out, so the girls had a read-a-thon on the tramp after Sof got home from school. It was a super cute thing to witness Sof reading so good to Claire.

Quincey's happy place continues to be in the tub.

Going to Sof's Zoo Day was pretty fun! She molded the animals out of clay and wrote little bio's up about them.

Claire opened both curtains this day. Her inspiration was every princess movie she's ever seen.

Watching Claire run as fast as she can in place might just replace watching her Hula as my favorite thing.

I'm pretty sure I would make this face too after trying to hold my leg up at that angle.

Greg got clipless pedals and was having quite the experience getting used to them. This video made me laugh after I found it! He got really good at falling over without being able to save himself.
