Spring Break 2024

Because Easter was on Sunday, March 31, our Spring Break ended up being that first week of April. Greg was still deep in Busy Season, but I somehow put it in his head that he could come on a trip with us anyway. All in all, we had fun and enjoyed the sunshine.

This is another cute thing Quincey started to do. She would say "Oh, Daddy ..." in her cute little voice. I'm pretty sure Greg was napping.

We stayed in Cedar at my parent's but spent a majority of our time in sunny St. George. Here is Quincey multi-tasking at her finest, soaking up some sun in Cedar before heading even further south.

Claire: "Can you close the door?" She is not known as being patient on road trips .... she gets that from her dad.

Greg had a bike ride planned as soon as we got to St. George, so we dropped him off and headed to the infamous Tonaquint Park, where they miraculously had the water running. It really wasn't terribly warm yet. But, anything was warmer than Northern Utah.

All 3 are at such a fun age!

Meanwhile ...

It's good to know there is still some undeveloped land in St. George. Developers are snatching everything up left and right ...
Claire living the dream. In a swimsuit, in the sun, with a snack.

After playing at the park for a while, and finally picking Greg back up, we found somewhere yummy to eat Dinner.

Because the girls hadn't swam enough, and because we love the place, after dinner we went to the Snow Canyon Aquatic Center, lovingly known as "the bra" to the locals :). Somehow I had forgotten to pack mine and Greg's swimsuits, so Greg took one for the team and following Quincey around in his bike shorts while I lounged from the sidelines.

This picture kills me 🤣.

There's something about a Swimming Pool locker room and my girls feeling the need to climb inside a locker. I guess I'll let them until the lockers no longer fit :).

It was a long day, but we had so much fun! I'm glad Greg was able to get out on his bike and that the girls were able to soak up some sun and swim to their hearts content.

The next morning I about died when I came downstairs to find this scene ... Greg up working early to the background music of my Dad's snores.

The goal for today was to go to Zion. We're really good at going to Bryce, so we were going to try to hit Zion. It was fun, but Zion is so overcrowded. It's beautiful, but you definitely need to go on a national holiday or wait for the world to shut down again. It was a madhouse, so much so that we didn't even hike. We just hiked along the rive and called that good.

We found a giant rock to climb and some solitude along the river. All in all, we had a fun day.

We stopped for Ice Cream on the way out. A perfect way to end the day.

Oh to be in her head ... she is so fun!

We had a fun time in Southern Utah. It's always so hard to leave, and Claire cries for a good 30 minutes because she misses Grandma, but that is what makes visiting so much fun - the memories.

A Full Month of March

March. What a month - a fractured pinky, piano recital, pink eye, Jazz Games, and Easter. That pretty much sums it up. I'll let the pictures do the talking, but I'm just glad we made it through!

We went to McDonald's one night and had the place to ourselves, so naturally I climbed in the slides with the girls.
Greg surprised us by showing up before bedtime. It was a fun surprise.
This is how Greg prays.
I love her!
Our cute neighbor sent me this pic they snapped from their window. Quincey is in such a fun stage.
Sof had an Entrepreneur Fair in 3rd Grade and made her own Caramel Popcorn to sell.
Her packaging and branding turned out so stinking cute!
Zoo Day for Claire! She had so much fun on her first Field Trip.

Quincey was walking around the house like this one night. She sure loves that blankie.

I could hardly contain my excitement when I spied blooms among the snow on our tree one day!
Spring is on its way!
Minion hat, swing, and popcorn. She is one lucky little girly.

Claire was being a little old lady, and I was loving every single second! She's had good practice being "Rita" from Bluey.

Me and my boyfriend.
Happy 33rd birthday to me! Greg came home with a delicious ice cream cake!

Sof was in a mood at the Jump Park one night, and I may have been a bit too determined to make her smile ... Lo and behold, she ended up with a hurt pinky. After a couple of days of not being able to bend it, we finally made a trip to the doctors.

And came home with a shiny new splint - nothing showed up on the x-ray, but the Doctor was pretty certain she had some kind of fracture.
Sof did great at her 1st Piano Recital with her new teacher. She is doing so many new and wonderful things!
We took advantage of a day out of school to have fun together at the Children's Tree House Museum.

This cat is hilarious! I never know how I'm going to find him.

Perks of Greg's job are the yearly Jazz Tickets that are right on the sidelines, complete with Dinner and mid-game snacks. These are the Jazz games I will go to. I don't remember anything about the game, but it was crazy to be close enough to realize how massive the players really are!

We found Rudy! He was injured, so he didn't play, but it was still fun to see him.
Sof is the best big sis.
Happy 1st day of Spring! Girls night at DQ getting our free cones.

Sof's cool new trick she does at recess had me curling my toes.

Guess who got DOUBLE pink eye? I was wracking my brain trying to figure out where I got it ... turns out the strain this year didn't actually turn everyone's eyes pink ... so lo, and behold I got it from Sofi! It was going around her school like crazy. There are other pictures, but I will spare you. Just know, it was awful, I was so swollen my eyebrows were uneven, and it lasted for 2+ weeks!
So much joy in this picture!

Quincey's newest trick, and it was a favorite!

The PTO fed us breakfast one morning in the cafeteria. 1 of the 2 was thrilled it was donuts. I'll let you guess which one that was ...

I think we keep the neighbors thoroughly entertained. It's a mystery what Quincey is going to bring outside with her each day.

Greg made it to a movie with the girls.

We ended March with Easter. It was early, but a beautiful way to end the month.

Greg is tired! I think he's mastered sleeping while looking awake ... I hate Busy Season.

Happy Easter!

Bubble Blowers for all!

Life hasn't slowed down. It has changed, but man is it fun with this cute family of ours!
