Random Happenings

It warmed up enough around here to plant some flowers. Sof was my little flower girl who loved to help fill the pots up with dirt. She likes a routine, just like her daddy.

This random chicken has been hanging around our apartment complex the last little bit. She is so popular, we named her Hei Hei. The cute little thing will let me carry it around and will stand there while Sof pokes it.

Our last date was December 28, 2016, so in April Greg felt like it was time to go on a date again - without the Sofi loaf. It was fun to get all dressed up and just spend time with him for a few hours. I'm reminded why I married him when we have one-on-one time like this :).

Cheesecake Factory's finest: Louisiana Chicken and Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp. Sooooo good!!
Greg only worked a half day so we took him with us to the park. He looks like he's dying. His poor skin needs some sun!
Sof loves to help me roll out any dough, be it for cookies, breadsticks or pizza.
Greg's firm has tickets to the Rocky Mountain Raceway. Last year we got rained out, but this year we braved the wind and had a lot of fun! We were treated to a free meal and cheap, ghetto entertainment. Racecars bring out Salt Lake's finest, and we were not disappointed.

Sofi is starting to refuse to nap again. She's doing the every other day thing, which means she pretty much doesn't nap on Sunday's anymore. To pass the time, we've started going on walks. She looks like cute little Tinkerbell in her Easter dress from last year that is finally starting to get too small ...

Blue eyed beauty.

On one of the many outings we have taken to look at potential houses, Sofi was bit by a not-so-friendly little rat/dog. I'm pretty sure there isn't a level for how angry I was. Yes, I punted that dog across the yard, and I'm hoping I cracked some of its ribs in the process. It wasn't moving so well once it hit the ground again.

See the teeth marks?

One of my cute friends from Logan who we don't see enough of anymore, invited us to the $5 day at This is the Place park. I've never been there other than for weddings and receptions, but holy cow was it sooooo fun!

Fat face selfie on the train. Chris Farley would be proud.
Panning for gold.
Petting the bunny with one finger.
Riding Elsa the pony!!! She's going to be a little cowgirl. I can feel it!
Greg's sister Alicia invited us to go with her and her two cute kids to the Utah's Natural History Museum. Another place I've never been before, but so cool to see all the fun things that have been discovered in Utah. They even had a display on how Cedar Mountain was made!

Picking her nose in true Sofi fashion.

Dumpster diving at its finest! Greg found this little gem for Sof and it still works. She loves it!

We've been able to do some fun things this last month. Greg's busy season is officially over, so we are seeing more and more of him. It's nice to have someone else to talk to at dinner time. I'm not sure how single parents do it, but they have my utmost respect.
