What a Week[end]

My parents bought me a ticket to see the Piano Guys clear back in October. I have anticipated it since then and the week finally arrived! (Be ready for picture overload).

Busy season hit Greg full in the face, so we were unable to unbury him from his workload to bring him south with us. Boy did he miss out.

We left Wednesday to have a few days to play in Cedar before our fun weekend plans. Sof was talking all week about playing with cousins and seeing "Granka." She sure loves her Grankas.

She is such a trooper on car rides now. She will gothe whole 4 hours without a nap or crying.
No words.
She couldn't wait to see Grandpa!

Later on, my mom encouraged Jess and I to go to a movie after our kids were in bed. Jess loved La La Land so much she fell asleep the whole last hour ...

So it turns out Utah was having a heat wave this week, but for some reason no matter what it always feels warmer in Southern Utah. Sof played on grandma's teeter-totter multiple times.

She loved taking these apart and putting them back together
She loved to listen to Shelby practice her cello
Friday was the day! The day for The Piano Guys!

Nothing like playing in a frozen sandbox
Testing Grandma's icing
The before party

My cute grandma came with us.

Saturday morning was spent getting ready to go play at the Sand Dunes. Sof helped Grandpa outside. She loved to ride on that trike. I now know what to get her for her birthday.

Cousin Dayton could make her laugh more than anyone
This picture perfectly captures why I love Southern Utah. Snow Covered mountains down to the Red Cliffs.
She was exhausted. Cute little thing fell asleep holding Katy's hand.
This hill was so steep! The picture doesn't do it justice. I had the brakes locked and the sand carried us down..

Sunday morning I was able to go to my Dad's Singles Ward to see him in action. It was Fast and Testimony meeting and my dad was a lone man in the wilderness (both councilors were gone) so he conducted the meeting. There is something special about hearing a parent bear their testimony. It was an amazing meeting.

We were able to play a bit outside before having to drive back to Bountiful. We soaked up as much sun as we could in Grandma's sand box.

One last hurrah!
Sofia learned how to entertain herself while at Grandma's house. She also had a lot of cousins to play with. She may have learned a few new tricks without me knowing ...

This is before she starting cleaning Greg's shoe like a toilet
Cute Greggy had Super Bowl goodies cooking. I think he was missed us. How could I tell? He talked my ear off :). That doesn't happen often.

We had so much fun with my family! Greg was the only one who wasn't there (story of my life), but we had fun anyway. The good thing about him working so much is that we have a reason to escape so he doesn't feel guilty about working such long hours. I'm already planning the next trip down. What a special place Southern Utah is.
