Happy 7th Birthday Claire!

We love Claire! She is so much fun and has some funny quirks about her -
  • She is the best helper - she see's a service opportunity and is one of the first to help
  • My best eater!
  • Has the best cackle
  • Is super smart and still has the best handwriting of any 7 year old I know
  • Really good at Piano. She is like her Dad and can play by ear
  • Always up for an adventure!
  • Will still choose the TV over any other downtime activity
  • Can beat her Mom in chess
  • Is the best older sister to Quincey
  • Says the best prayers! Let's just say she's grateful for everything.
We had so much fun celebrating Claire! She was sick a couple of days before her birthday so we are so glad she recovered enough to wake up and enjoy her birthday!

We surprised Claire with her own electric scooter - I think she was excited?

Claire was excited to have her dad wake her up and cook her a birthday breakfast.

Claire LOVES Pizza Pie Cafe, so naturally she chose to go there for her birthday dinner. And Greg and I love that she gets to eat free on her birthday AND get the most delicious Pazookie with her meal. It really is the best!

Quincey helped bake a cake for Claire. She even taste tested it for us. But, I didn't end up making Claire a cake because she was so full from Pizza Pie Cafe, so it worked out in the end.

And, simply because she was the squishiest newborn ever, here are some pics of her when she was born. She really was the cutest!

I told Claire this was the off-year for a friend party, but I did let her invite cousins to the Ninja Kidz jump park - and it was so much fun!

Happy 7th Birthday Claire! We sure do love ya.

Greg's CAT Conference in San Fran

Because Greg is a big whig at Wheeler CAT now, he was able to go to the Annual CAT Conference with the other big whigs - this year (2024) it was in San Francisco, and he was pretty excited about it. Granted, San Francisco is a super cool place - so who can blame him?

Greg was gone for 4 days and spent those 4 days sending me everything he was seeing. Let's just say he saw some pretty cool things and I may or may not plan to go with him on the next Cat conference ...

They were in wine country, so Greg had a great time walking around this vineyard enjoying all the sights.

Greg and some co-workers booked an Alcatraz tour one evening, and he said it was so cool! It's basically a self-guided tour with a headset, and they open difference areas of the prison on different days for you to tour. On Greg's evening, they opened the infirmary ...

Greg loved this bakery - who wouldn't?

I fell in love with the giant succulents that grow in California on our San Diego trip, so naturally Greg sent me a picture of some :).
San Fran may be known for its crime, but there are still some beautiful places to explore.

We (as in I) often joke that Greg is allergic to fun, so naturally the longer he spent at the CAT conference the sicker he became. By the time it was ready for him to fly home, he was only able to enjoy a meal of rice in China Town and cut the excursions short for his co-workers so he could lay comatose in the airport before flying home. And, when he did finally get home, he was a hot mess ...

And, we may or may not have surprised him with this little cutie in the car when we picked him up from the airport ...

Needless to say, he was ticked and didn't talk to me for the entire ride home 😂.

Welcome home, Greggy!
