Thorley Cabin - The final day

We played hard - the girls were filthy, dirty every single day. They did all the things, and had fun doing laps on the four-wheelers. They played good with cousins, roasted s'mores, and have so much fun. It was terribly crowded at the cabin this year, which was nice. We didn't go on any long, dusty rides either, which was also nice. Overall, we had a great time.

Claire loves babies, so naturally she loved spending time with Easton.
We finally found grandpa on the morning we were trying to leave.
One last motorcycle ride with Claire. She couldn't get enough.

A rainstorm was moving in, so we took one last trip as a family to the lower point - the wind was fierce but the view was stunning. They don't call it golden hour for nothing.

A rainstorm over New Harmony and Kolob's Five Fingers.
It makes me really sad that I'm only able to go to the cabin once a year now, when I grew up going as often as we wanted. So, I do my best to soak it in as best as I can so it will last me to the next year. I love this place, the sights, the smells, the memories, and I love that my girls are growing up with that same love. Our heritage is in this land, and I am so glad they are able to experience it.

Thorley Cabin - Day 2

Day 2 was a day of dust, fourwheeling, cousins and hummingbirds. Greg kept himself busy by spraying down the dirt and keeping the hummingbird feeders full - which in itself was a full-time job.

Quincey was in sand heaven!
Keeping the dust down.

Greg and Claire disappeared for a while, and turns out they took a little trip up to the lower point, found a horny toad, and saw the beautiful sunset. These pictures are priceless.

Thorley Cabin & the Mountain - Night and Day 1

Time spent at the cabin is much anticipated, and the time finally arrived the first of July for us to go. We braved the mountain roads and took our van in and I was pretty surprised to arrive at the cabin without any tire mishaps. It was a slow, dusty journey but we made it!

The girls slept great and were up and ready to play the next day! We were the only ones at the cabin for a while and loved having the place to ourselves.

Horny toads!! And Greg even held one. Wonders never cease.

Of course we had to go play at Uncle Theon's ziplipe - it's the best.

touchdown!
The girls got pretty good at driving the fourwheelers - luckily they are automatic. We have some work to do in the gear department on the other ones.
