Campbell Companies Family Fun Day

We are learning that Campbell Companies is really good at throwing parties for families.

This year, the fun was down at Thanksgiving Point, and while that was a drive for us, it sounded like it was going to be a lot of fun.

And guess what? It was!

There were multiple Food Trucks we could visit endlessly, Face Painters, Balloon Artists, Carnival Rides, Horse Rides, a Petting Zoo, Rock Walls,  Bounce Houses, Blowups, Crafts, Trampolines, a concert and fireworks.

We already can't wait to go next year!

I have always wanted a pig. This one's name was Delilah.

The girls painted their own frisbee's. It was pretty cool!

New hats! And probably their 5th Snow Cone.
We waited in line for 28 minutes for these dang balloons, but I will say they are pretty cute. Sof got a turtle, and Claire got her unicorn.
Until next time ☮.

Claire the Kindergartener

The day finally came for our Clairey Babes to start school. She was nervously excited and ready very early. We had some time to kill before taking her, so naturally we took pictures.

She was excited to be the first one in line!
Claire had Ms. Loosle. We love her!
Claire is one of the bravest kids I know. She rarely shows fear and is always up for a challenge.
But, when I look at this picture you can she in her eyes that she is a bit nervous.
We love Claire, and while it was hard to leave her that day, I knew she would be fine.
Ms. Loosle is an amazing teacher.
We had packed a yummy lunch for her.
And I was picking her up at 1:30.
Claire can do hard things!
Qincey wasn't so sure about being home alone with me ... her day was a lot quieter than she was used to.

Guess who had the best day?!

Any day that ends with a rainbow is a good day.

Claire had more fun than she thought.

Maybe Kindergarten won't be so bad after all.

One Last Week with Claire

We had 1 extra week with Claire before she started All Day Kindergarten.

I was all for it, until the time finally came.

Claire is a September baby, making her one of the oldest in her grade. If anyone could do All Day Kindergarten, it's Claire. But, that didn't make the transition any easier.

All of the sudden I felt robbed of the year I would still have with her, if she did half day.

Yes, I could choose to go pick her up each day at 11:30, but Claire needs the Social.

Change is good.

Visiting Hondo.

Now that Sof was in school, there was no one home to tell Claire "No" when she wanted to ride the hoverboard.

Quincey's personal chaffeur.

And partner in crime.

Honestly, the most meticulous artist.

My little adventure buddy.

And jokester.

She chose Chik-fil-a as her "Last Lunch."

Our days were going to look a lot different with Claire in Kindergarten all day.

Sofia the 3rd Grader

Sofia started 3rd Grade!
She was a equal parts nervous and excited, which is normal when starting a new grade.

We had heard such good things about her teacher and she had quite the handful of friends in the class. It was going to be a fun year!

Greg loves taking the girls to school on the GOAT each year, thinking he would be the coolest one. Well, he was outdone by someone who brought their kids in a Farrari.

Only in Kaysville ...

Summer Wrap-Up

August came and we made the most of it before the girls started school. Davis County started earlier than usual so that the kids could get out before Memorial Day in May. Genius!

August weather was crazy. We had just as much rain as we did sun. Mother Nature couldn't quite figure out what she was wanting to do. Sounds familiar 😜

Beautiful August 1 went from this ...

to this in a matter of hours.

Claire decided to have a water fight one day.

0000

She is faster than she looks 🤣

August brought a lot of moody weather.

We opened the garage door and had fun watching the rain.

We loved having cousins come with us to Cherry Hill one day.
Greg snapped me after I had slipped into the Splash Pad!
Cute hairdo's. My least favorite thing about being a girl mom - would you believe it?

We hiked to the Centerville Waterfall.

A little after-dinner Snuggle Sesh.

Taking a break after swimming at the Farmington Pool.

Greg took Quincey up to a new development in Fruit Heights. It's quite the climb, but anything is possible with the G.O.A.T.

As one last Hurrah (before School started), I took the girls to play in the Layton River. They had fun.

We were quite the sight!
Sitting at the table with the big kids.
Claire's bed hair kills me.

We had the best summer and can't believe it came to an end!
