Halloween Parades

Burton Elementary had a costume parade early in the morning, and it was so fun going to see everyone's costumes as they walked around the field. Sof avoided eye contact, but her cute smile said it all!

We took advantage of the beautiful leaves through the Hollow, and the weather that still lets us enjoy rides on the Ebike :).

Claire's turn to dress up for her class!

The cutest little black cat.
Sof was one proud sister to watch Claire!

Our Ward Halloween Party

We were so excited that our ward was having a Halloween Party this year! 2020 really was a downer when it came to celebrations, so the fact that everything was pretty much back to normal in 2021 was pretty special, at least for me.

I love this pic. Nothing brings Claire more joy than watching a show on the Fire.
Ready to party! We brought our cute neighbor who's family stayed home sick.
There are some pictures where I realize Claire is a clone of her Daddy. This is one of those pictures 🤣. And the best part is that Greg took this picture. He loved the tiny toilet.

The best part of the Ward Party is the Candy Cannon! Even I got in the action. #WorthIt!

The Annual Witchey-poo Party

Our fun week continued into the weekend, with Saturday being the scheduled Witchey-poo Party. It's always a hit every year.

Queen Barb
Making the Witches Brew
Claire loved her treats so much, she decided to wear them.

This is the first year we didn't really have to "babysit" our girls at a family gathering. They were content to entertain themselves and run around and play with cousins. It was so nice to be able to sit and visit with everyone else [mostly] uninterrupted. We know this won't be the case next year with a baby, but that's okay. Times and Seasons, right?

Flying Home

We were up early, once again, to get breakfast and make it to the Airport in time for our flight home.

We were going to miss Disneyland.

Waiting for our Uber, while Claire checks out her tongue in the reflection of my suitcase handle.

Claire's moodiness started to appear even before we got on the airplane home, and she really didn't let it up the whole time we were in the air. I kept calling her "Princess" on the airplane, and had finally had enough of that when she loudly told me, "I'm not a princess!" Earning many laughs from the passengers around us.

You also know she had been a little stinker when the cute flight attendants offered to take her back to California with them 🤣. Bless them!

We've decided whoever designed the new SLC airport deserves to be shot. Our airplane landed so far away that they had to shuttle us back to the airport.
This is the tunnel leading us back into the Airport, where we get to walk the extra mile under the terminal back to the exit. It was crazy!

But, a funny story. We did so good at keeping track of Claire, until we came up the stairs from the tunnel under the terminal and realized, that Claire was missing. Gone. Disappeared. No one even saw her slip away. Greg takes off running down he hallway and he's too far away before I see Claire come strolling out of the bathroom. She had seen the bathroom, and taken herself into the correct one (the women's), and had even washed her hands. I was torn between being proud of her and scolding her for not telling us where to go. Oh well, the run was probably good for Greg. Being home had put him on edge anyway. The extra exercise was probably good for him.

Mark picked us up from the airport in our Van, and we were home by noon, in time to rest and recoup from our awesome vacation.

Day 3 - Disneyland & California Adventures

The morning of Day 3 dawned as early as the other two, we were just 3x as exhausted 🤣. It was our Final day to spend in the Parks, so we were determined to hit everything we hadn't hit yet, and revisit our favorite parts.

Our plan was to race to the Haunted Mansion, which we did, and it ended up being pretty disappointing. We didn't know they changed the theme of the Mansion to be The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is my least favorite story of all time, and so the fact that we wasted 45 minutes of our morning was kind of grim. Oh well.

But our biggest surprise of the Day/Trip ...

Baby Sis #3 Due March 2022

We waited until I was 22 weeks along to finally tell our Family's that we were expecting Baby Sis #3. It was so exciting telling everyone, and how happy they were for us.

We were finding Character's left and right. Here's Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder.
All Sofia wanted was some Mickey Waffle's. Of course, by the time we waited in line, we missed them literally by 5 minutes - the restaurant quit serving them. I think I was more heartbroken than Sofia, because she bounced back really well when she was able to eat a Mickey Mouse Pretzel.

Greg and the girls went sight seeing while I was busy perusing the shops.

They were closing California Adventures early for a trick-or-treating party, so we headed over ASAP when they allowed us to jump. It was good to be back :).

I can't tell you how many pictures I have of Claire's squished face as I try to get her to look at the camera. Bless her heart.

The Redwood Forest became our sanctuary when we all needed a minute to recoup. The kids were content to run around, and I can't tell you how many times I legit lost track of Claire.

We waited to call and tell my Mom about Baby #3. Here are the girls, happily watching a show on my phone while Greg and I call and break the news to her.

All while we snacked on these delicious Lobster Nacho's.
It became a little tradition to cross this bridge as a wheelbarrow.
We love the Soarin' Ride!
Jumping back to Disneyland for the rest of the day.
We waited forever on the Space Mountain Ride. Afterwards, we ate a delicious Dinner at the restaurant. Claire had finished her cup of Space-ghetti before we even sat down.
My guy in Disneyland! On our way out. What a fun trip we've had!

Greg and the girls waited so patiently outside the shops while I frantically tried to find a pullover that I actually wanted to pay for. Eveything was so expensive! But, I finally found one and was happy. Claire and Sof were beyond exhausted by the time we started walking back to the hotel. Sof was able to fall asleep, but poor Claire couldn't get comfortable enough in the front seat of the stroller. We had played hard and everyone was ready to fall into bed.

Until next time, Disneyland ☮.
