Easter

I had really good intentions on following the life of Christ this year leading up to Easter. Sadly, I never made it past Palm Sunday. However, I thought about the Atonement a lot during the week so that counts for something, right?

Sofi's birthday celebrations just seemed to continue right into Easter weekend (which it did), and we had a lot of fun as a little family enjoying the beautiful Easter day.

taking a lap around the temple. These two are just so cute!
Beautiful little girl
My gratitude to my Heavenly Father that I have these two for eternity seems to grow and grow. Although we have many shortcomings, Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to live with Him again forever with our families. What a beautiful blessing.

Happy Easter!

2 Years Old!!!

Sofia Lu is officially 2 years old, and what a sweet little girl she continues to be. She was a dream and slept in until 8:30 am, and took a 3.5 hour nap. I have come to the conclusion that she is growing (finally!). She sleeps like the dead and eats like it's her last meal; and she's clumsy - that too.

She squirmed out of my hands and ran right over to this little beauty. She insisted on riding it around the blocks a few times before breakfast.
Breakfast of champions: birthday mush.
Another lap with her stroller.
We gave her trike to her again when Greggy got home. She could've cared less about any of her other presents.
A castle cake for our princess.
Round 2 of ice cream. She didn't even touch her cake.

What fun this girl is. She loves to swim, read books, swing, run away, and play with 'the kids.' She loves princesses and demands to watch Elsa during breakfast (whatever gets the food down). She is strong-willed, sassy, and completely her own. We sure love our Sofia Lu.

Temple Square Tulips

Sofi and I have made a tradition to go see the tulips at Temple Square each April. It seems like the week of her birthday is the prime time to go, so we braved a trip there yesterday, and it did not disappoint (it never does). Sofi was content to walk on all of the walls she could find, stare at all the people, and be afraid of the reflective pond. She's the cutest!

A day in the life!!! :)

Okay, my real reason for going to Temple Square may or may not have been just to take pics of my sweet girl the whole time ... I will let you decide.

This is my absolute favorite! She officially looks like a little girl.
Sofi insisted on pushing the stroller. My amazing stroller makes it so for her to reach the handle. Score for the little guys!
She is starting to get sick of posing for pics.
But she was intrigued with the moss.

We failed to see Greg much this week due to Busy Season, so we went to him. We ate lunch and I marveled at how antisocial all accountants are. I would laugh as every single one would come to the break room for lunch, stop in the doorway and look uncomfortably around realizing other people were there as well. What a sad life they lead. Seriously, every single one. Greg needs to get out of that place.

After Sof's nap, and to pass the time, we will ride the bike to the West Bountiful park. She saw me wearing sunglasses and insisted she did too. The kicker? Mine fit better than hers. I may or may not shop in the kids section for sunglasses ...
