Sofia Lu is the best study buddy Greg could ask for. |
Sofia melting |
Poor Greg is trying to peel himself off the ground while Sof and I watch from a safe
distance. As you can see, she is still melting.
On our way to Sofi's 2 month appointment - she has no idea she's about to get her shots. Poor babe! |
Sofia Lu absolutely loves her bath's, as you can tell by the exuberant look on her face ... she does, I promise |
We survived our first three months! Sofia has become quite a pleasant little babe and loves to sit and look around. She'll let me know when she gets bored, she's good at making her presence known.
It seemed like right when Sofia turned 3 months, she knew she was a big girl. She quit taking naps and started staying up all day to hang out with mom, oh boy!
A creepy pic of Sof hanging out in her crib while she was supposed to be asleep, at least she looks happy ... |
We took a fun trip one Saturday to Brigham City to spend time at Greg's cousin's house. They live in the cutest farm house and have the prettiest property! We keep saying one day we will be able to live somewhere like this place. Sofia got to meet Greg's mom's sister Barbara for the first time and we had so much fun!
All the babies! Aunt Barbara is over my shoulder and this is with Alicia & Owen, and cousin Season and Sierra |
The whole Spjute clan |
Sofia Lu with her girl cousins |
Sofi sleeping with Grandpa Mark and Grandma Kathy. She lives the dream :)
Oh so many jokes right now ... "Hey Greg, nice ass!" |
I forgot to mention we were privileged to drive the nicest Mercedes E.V.E.R! to this place. Sadly, we didn't get a picture, but know it happened.
1 week after Sofi turned 3 months, she decided to roll over. Now she travels all over our living room. |
We were lucky enough to take a quick trip to Southern Utah to attend a baby blessing and spend a couple of more days at the cabin. The trips are never as long as we liked them to be, but we'll take what we can get.
The whole Thorley clan |
Finally got all 3 babies together. They are going to be such good friends! |
Another with great grandma Jolley |
A family photo with Sofi when she's actually awake. She loves sitting on the porch! |
Seriously, there were like 8 hummingbirds on this thing |
She seriously loves this place!
Greg in front of the "Mother Tree." Yes, that is an Aspen. It's gigantic!!! |
Like daughter like father apparently. Greg: "I'm smiling, my face just doesn't know it. |
We got the greatest news before we headed back to Bountiful. GREG PASSED HIS 3RD CPA EXAM! Can I tell you how excited all 3 of us (yes, including Sofi) were?! So many hours were spent studying for that dang test and I'm so glad that all of the hours Greg spent studying paid off. Now only 1 more to go!
We celebrated by stopping to get a Nielsen's custard before going home. He Passed!!! |
Sofia absolutely loves to be outside, so we can be found frequenting the trails and parks around our area.
As long as she has her giraffe, she's happy |
It is so much fun to spend time with this girl. She makes me laugh all day long, and how could I not when I find her like this?
Such a little cheeser |
She will hold onto her toes all day long |
Just scannin' the ads |
I found her like this after her nap. I was laughing so hard. Where is her arm? |
With all of the rolling Sofia Lu does now, she often wakes up next to the bars or with her arm stuck. This is now how I will find her. Luckily she is still alive.
Waiting so patiently. She hasn't figured out how to roll back over yet ... I'm anxiously waiting for that day. |
On Sofia Lu's 4 month birthday we decided to ditch her for the morning and head to Lagoon. Such loving parents, I know. We rode the rides we wanted to in the morning and went back to April and Toby's to get her in the afternoon. April is the baby whisperer and got Sofi to take a 2 hour nap. She needs to teach me her ways! Sof melted in the heat and Lagoon, but was able to go on 1 ride - the train.
Greg, "Hey Heid, is it a female if the camel has two humps?" |
She was the bestest baby ever! Didn't cry once but insisted she sit up in her stroller to only fall asleep slumped over. With her giraffe ... |
This past weekend was full of weddings for us. It means 3 things:
1. I don't have to cook those nights because of all the yummy wedding food
2. We get to spend time with friends and family we don't see often enough
3. Sofi turns into a monster because her sleep schedule is severely altered.
Was it worth it, you might ask? Why yes, yes it was.
All of this craziness when Sofi turned 4 months and she was such a champ. Getting so cute and growing like a weed! I can't believe it's only been 4 months. Where has the time gone? We love her more each day and I absolutely love taking her new places to watch her experience new people and things.
Speaking of new things, check out Sof's cool new toy
Congratulations if you made it all the way through! We've had a fun summer, and is it bad to say I love fall even more? All the smells and pretty sights. Sofi is becoming so fun and I can't wait for all the fun holidays coming up! Life just seems to keep getting better and better.
