A Fun Weekend, the Primary Program, and a Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Thorley

The weather was absolutely Beautiful in September! The days kept being warm and we took advantage of them!

We woke up one Saturday and decided to go hiking to the Waterfall up Adams Canyon. The girls did great and we [mostly] had the waterfall to ourselves, until we discovered a friend ...

Claire, as impervious to cold water as usual, was the first to shed her clothes and head to the waterfall.

She eventually needed to be rescued by Greg.

And he can be seen here pointing to our new "friend."

a giant tarantula! 😕
#babes.
Claire had a lot of fun picking wildflowers on the way back.
Enjoying the view.

We had invited Grandma Jan and Grandpa Todd up to see the girls in action for the Primary Program on Sunday. Claire was super excited to show off her fancy bike that she had gotten a few days early, before her 6th Birthday.

Grandpa eventually left to go look at tools somewhere, and Claire was super excited to take Grandma to Station Park, so she could get a Build-A-Bear for her Birthday. My Mom loves giving gifts, so it was a night well spent for Everyone.

It may have been for Claire's birthday, but Sofi talked Grandma into getting her an "early" Christmas present, too.

Sunday was a big day for the Primary Program. I was the accomanist (as usual), and Sofi was nervous/excited to accompany the primary for "Keep the Commandments" on her hot pink ukelele. She had been practicing for weeks and was the image of calm when she stood up for her cue. She looked so cute and did great!

What a fun weekend, spent with family.
