Playing Hookey at the Hogle Zoo

Hogle Zoo was having a free family day, so I made an executive decision to let the girls miss one random Wednesday in the middle of November, and we had so much fun! It was on the colder side, so it really wasn't too crowded. And the best part? Greg came with us!

We found the Peek-a-boo Polar Bear

I looked long and hard at this picture and realized Claire's hair in the middle is more blonde than Sofi's. It's crazy how many highlights she gets during the summer.
Sof was so excited to find the Red Panda - her favorite.
We found the leopard.
He was absolutely beautiful!

Greg didn't get a picture of it, but he saw the Tiger go crazy against the door as they were trying to feed it. He was glad to be on the other side of the fence - he said it was crazy! I swear he always see's the cool things whenever we go to the zoo.

I have yet to figure out why, but Quincey loves to drag this water bottle behind her as she walks. It's hilarious.

Sometimes it's nice to have a break from school and work in the middle of the week. The sun was out, the crowds were minimal, the animals were active, and we had a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day to visit the zoo!

Jr Jazz and a Piano Recital

Ready for her first game!
I'm glad 2 of the 5 were looking at the camera 🤭
She did great! The teams were made up of 3rd and 4th graders (some of which were bigger than me). I really want to know what some people feed their children to make them so big!

Afterwards, we went to lunch at Costa Vida with Grandma Jan while Greg took Quincey home for a nap. The girls were thrilled.

Next up - Sofi's first Piano recital, which of course was during the same time as Claire's first basketball game, so we divided and conquered. My parents went to watch the game with Greg while I went to Sof's piano recital with Mark & Kathy. She did great!

Greg and my parents were having the time of their lives watching Claire and the other 5 year olds learn to play basketball. No one dribbled, and everyone else would chase whoever had the ball at the time - it was hilarious!

The video Greg took won't upload, but suffice it to say that it was hilarious and everyone should watch 5 year olds play basketball at least once in their life.

I have no idea why Greg can't keep his eyes open for a picture.
Claire was so excited to get the same number as Sofi.

Jr Jazz - the perfect way to spend every Saturday through November and December 👎. But really, it did make for some entertaining moments.

October Fun

October was a BEAUTIFUL month! Beautiful sunsets, skies, colors, sights, smells, and fun.

Greg went on a super cool field trip at work one day.
My little helpers doing some demo for Cedar Tree Lane.
The piggies and boots. I just can't 😍
I took the girls to see the Barbie movie when it hit the Kaysville Theater. Imagine the looks on everyone's faces as I brought my "underage" children to a PG-13 movie ... I ended up loving it. My girls - not so much. But it was a fun memory, regardless.
She has quite the style.
Claire's mermaid costume came in the mail, and she and Sof spent some time doing a photoshoot.
All of the sudden, she's looking so big!
We took the girls to the little bike look we like to go to in Farmington. This is me and Quincey chasing the girls down. They were much faster than us. The grass was so tall, we could hardly see the girls.
Quincey in her cute new Winter coat.
Quince made some new feathered friends one day at the park.
We went hiking up Farmington Canyon to see the Fall colors and they did not disappoint. The trees were absolutely beautiful!
Claire was our model this time around for the Biblical Armor lesson.
We had family pictures one evening and I couldn't get over how stinking cute Quincey looked.
💖💗💘
We love that we can still go to Scary Hill long after swim season is over.
I'm pretty sure we are some of Kaysville Creamery's best customers.
Proof that Greg gets dressed in the dark: Gray on gray on gray.
A morning stroll to see Hondo with Grandpa Todd.

Quincey went through a phase where she loved to be drug behind the shopping cart. It was hilarious, but she would get so filthy!
