Fun in Moab 2024

Greg was thrilled to get us on board for another quick trip to Moab. There is nowhere he loves more. We planned to take a quick weekend break and left one Thursday before Thanksgiving after the girls got out of school. We picked up a pizza in Spanish Fork as we sailed through and did our best to eat while Greg drove like the happiest bat out of hell through Spanish Fork Canyon. Luckily it was dark or all of the passengers would have probably ended up carsick, all while Greg had the pedal to the metal and a smile on his face.

The excitement of hotel rooms will never get old for these girls.

I can't remember where I saw this sign, but it makes me laugh.

Greg booked a shuttle ride to his favorite bike trail Friday morning (I'm sure everyone but me knows what one it is, somewhere close to the La Sal mountains). Anyway, Greg couldn't find his trusty bike tool and ended up buying a shiny new one as a souvenir for his ride, the lucky guy. Oh, and after the ride, he ended up finding his tool. laugh with me, please! :)

While Greg was defying death, the girls were thrilled to go shopping with me :).

Unfortunately Greg's video of he going down the Snotch won't upload, but know it was super cool and he found 2 bike guys to ride around with. He's so popular.

We ended up finding a skate park and fun city park to play at. Luckily we brought the girl's scooters.

After Greg's ride, we went up one of the canyons west of Moab and found this beautiful hike we haven't done before. The girls had a lot of fun climbing and exploring.

Dinner time was well deserved. After exploring, playing, and hiking, everyone was starving!

We woke up the next day to let the girls swim. Sadly it had froze the weekend before we got to Moab, which meant they turned off the heaters in the pools. But, the hot tubs were all still working. 

After swimming, we went to Dead Horse Point. The history behind this point made me sad for the horses, but the view was spectacular! It was really windy but we were still able to enjoy our time and have a fun picnic lunch.

Sof was a champ and ran alongside Quincey while we walked along the edge.

After dead horse point, we continued up the road into Canyonlands and found a few more hikes to do. The view in and around Moab really never gets old.

There is something about Claire and defying death. Yes, she is literally staring down into the abyss.

We made sure to stop at the Visitors Center, simply because we can't drive through Moab with harassing these poor goats.

And showed Greg how fun the skate park was.
