Thorley Cabin Trip pt. 1

No thanks to COVID-19, our family could only go to the Cabin once this Summer instead of twice. So, we made definite plans on staying as long as we could. I loaded the girls a few days early and headed South. What fun we had this time around!

We made a pit stop in Beaver and had to try out the giant rocking chair.
I took the girls to play in Lake on the Hill. Claire refused to wear her floaties and would walk in up to her chin. Girlfriend has some major confidence. It was stressing me out.
The rest of the cousins showed up, and the real party began.
They slept good.
Claire was so excited to go to the cabin, she literally sat in the back of this hot car for 1.5 hours while we got everything loaded. It was the cutest thing!
On our way!
Claire in my old helmet. It looks this big on me too. #smallheadproblems
Catching Salamanders.

The love for horny toads runs deep around here.

Fun on the zipline.
Sof developed a taste for motorcycles and learned how to ride this little beauty. I can see more motorcycles in her future.
Sof learned how to make friendship bracelets.
Meanwhile, this is Greg's view while he's stuck on the freeway.

June Bliss

We had a lot of fun in June! The girls are both at such a fun age and have really become the best of buddies. I love being able to sit back and watch them. I'm posting these pictures so in the future, I can remember their sweet innocent joy in each and every moment. Kids really are the best and being able to relive the world through their eyes is truly the best part!

I still don't know how he's able to bend his body like this.
I'm pretty sure this sign is going to be on Greg's grave.
We were at our neighbor's spider swing just about every day, sometimes more than once.

The evolution of Father's Day pictures. I now know where the girls get it 🙄

This is prayer every night for Greg while I'm laughing hysterically  on the other side of the bed.
Our beautiful Claire! She truly is a gem.
💗💙💜
The one perk to Greg's surgery was actually getting a picture of me swimming with the girls (he couldn't get his incision wet). Totes worth it Greg 😉

Claire loves leaving the house and basically going anywhere, but she is over the moon when she hears we get to visit "City." She was looking forward to our cabin week all month. Me too Claire, me too.

Claire has Greg's mongrel eyes - I love everything about them!
Getting warm at the splash pad 🤣
Sof and I had a date to Cherry Hill one night. It was so fun!
Monkey Claire would sit on the very top of this ladder shelf while she watched me fix the wall in the basement. But guess what? I finally finished it. Holla!!
This silly cat loves water. Whenever he hears the water running, he comes running.

Sofi's Swim Lessons

I was so happy that they continued to do Swim Lessons this year. I guess they realized that chlorine kills just about everything, so I signed Sof up in Farmington and got a sweet discount, courtesy of using Mark and Kathy's address. Thank you! I signed Claire up too, just to see how she would do, and 5 minutes in she made up her mind, so I promptly got a refund and decided we'll try again next year. But Sof was a rockstar and did so well. She is a little fish and is a really good little swimmer. I noticed a difference this year in her swimming ability. She no longer needs floaties to swim, and easily swims across the pool with minimal help. The pool is her happy place, and it was fun to watch her grow and become better.

I am so so so happy I timed this photo when I did. It's a keeper! 🤣🤣🤣
Claire tested her limits every day by sticking her feet in the water.

Sof had fun, learned a lot, and was a trooper even though it was freezing every morning!
Until next year ...
