Quincey turns 1!

Our sweet Baby Quincey turned 1, and what a fun day it was celebrating her and the beautiful little addition she has been to our family. We spent the day doing what she loves - being together, playing, and dancing.

Quincey and I had a fun little photoshoot one day. She was so cute in her fluffy dress and hammed it up just perfect for her 1 year pictures.

She has the cutest little scrunchy smile, and the sweetest little face. I enjoy spending my days with her!

The cutest little girl gang! Oh how we all love our Quince.

It has been fun to rediscover songs I grew up with and listen to them with my girls. Shania Twain was a fan-favorite in my house growing up, and it was so fun to discover her new album on Quincey's birthday. We had fun dancing along to the songs.

We made a little smash cake and had some family over for some low-key festivities.

Quincey wasn't so sure about her cake, but once she figured it out, she seemed to enjoy it :).

Oh how I love this girl!
I prayed so hard to get her earthside, and the presence she has been in our family has been unmatched. She has been so much fun, is so content to go with the flow, and loves joining in the shenanigans of her older sisters. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger and brings so much joy to our days.

We love you, Quincey!
We can't wait to see what you become

The Best Daddy Daughter Dance EVER!

Cute Greg surprised the Girls with tickets to the Daddy Daughter dance here in Kaysville, and they had an absolute Blast!

He signed them up and surprised them with invitations in the mail. When it matters, Greg can be one of the most thoughtful people I know, and he didn't miss any details when asking our cute girlies to the dance.

On the day of the Dance, I could tell the girls were excited because they actually let me do their hair without a fight. It was magical, and they looked so cute!

Off they go! Looking so fancy.
Cute Greg took the girls out to eat. They loved have Costa Vida.

For some reason the video's won't upload that Greg took on his phone, but they are hilarious!

Claire was dancing all crazy, putting every emotion into dance form.

Sof took a little longer to warm up, but once she did she had the time of her life!

There was an endless supply of treats, and Claire was known to have a cupcake in each hand while dancing. It was awesome!

There was a face painter there, and you better believe the girls got their faces painted.
Even Greg did, to my utter delight.

They had so much fun and came home exhausted and exhilarated from their night out together. It was so fun for me to see.

If you watch closely, you'll see Greg's stern face slip up. He's not as dark and moody as he wants you to think.

And, the girls brought home the most beautiful roses I have ever seen. They were Huge! and smelled so good. I loved them.

They had the best time!
He was exhausted but had a lot of fun. You know when Greg is impressed, that something is done right.

Well done, Kaysville. Well done.

Fun in January

Here I sit, blissfully blogging in August about January. Where has this year gone? It is my goal to be caught up by December .... we'll see if that actually happens or not.

The cutest babe on the sledding hill.

Sof and Claire had a blast sledding with the neighbor boys. It was hilarious to watch!

And I found this gem Claire took of Quincey. You're welcome :).

A day in the life. We are all looking fabulous!

So close to crawling! She was queen of the army crawl there for a loooonnnnnggggg time.

A balmy January day, warm enough for Claire to shed her coat.
Waiting for their Daddy to come home. They started to understand a bit what Busy Season means this year.
Looking adorable in her sweater set! I love that Claire loves fashion.
The cutest chubby fingers squishing a strawberry. I know I'm going to miss them!
Oh you know, just some cotton candy for breakfast.

We zipped Claire up in Quincey's wearable blanket and sent her down the hall. She ran into just about everything she could and I cackled my head off the entire time. I love Claire!

The girls gave the geese quite a workout one day at the park.
I had to tell Sof to stop before she ran the white goose to death.
Her cute cackle! She loves the swings.

We went to the Layton Surf'n Swim one day and had a blast. I think it's a new Busy Season tradition.
We were even able to coax Greg to leave the office early and meet us.
Date night to the jump park. This girl absolutely adores her Daddy!
Quincey loved her jumper, and Claire loved swinging her through the doorway.
I got a new shipment in of Sunglasses.
And Claire took the her modeling gig very seriously!

Sof signed up for the Science Fair and won 1st Place in the Whimsical Category for her Times Tables Robot. She was so excited, and I was so proud!

Gee thanks Google. Don't mind me as I find a corner to cry in!

11 months of Quincey! She keeps getting more fun by the day.

Greg turns 35!

I talked Greg into working from home on his birthday, solely for selfish reasons. Busy Season is kind of awful, and where his birthday fell on a Saturday this year, we made the most of it.

He woke up and was able to work from the comforts of his own home, how unproductive it might have been. It has finally, sort of, almost sunk into my brain that Greg really hates birthday's, so I may have toned it down a bit, but we still did our best to celebrate him against his will a good part of the day.

I had coordinated with Katy a few weeks earlier to secretly come up to watch our girls so that I could take Greggy night boarding for his birthday.

He may have been reluctant at first, but when he could choose from any resort he wanted, he made quick work of finding the info he needed on the computer and purchasing our passes. A Greggy on a mission is a sight to behold.

Katy was prompt and the girls were beyond excited to spend the day with her, so off Greggy and I went to night ski at Brighton (I think).

Greg had his board and made the decision for me to Ski instead of Snowboard, so I planned to rent ski's, which ended up being a disaster. I waited 45+ minutes to get my ski's while Greg went down a few runs without me. I eventually got my ski's and found Greg, and off we went on our frozen adventure!

Brighton is beautiful! I had never been before in the winter, and it is a sight to behold. It was so cool to look over the mountain down into what we suspected was Midway/Heber.

Greg was able to enjoy the beauty of the sunset while I was inside waiting for my ski's.
Together at last!
Because why wouldn't he blink for the photo?

We had a lot of fun going down the mountain. It always astounds me how fast Greg is! He has his sister Lindsey to thank for that, as he tells me. Greg sure doesn't move fast on his own feet, but when he's on a bike or a snowboard, watch out!

After we were sufficiently tired and frozen, we deemed the night a success and ski/boarded down the mountain one last time. We got some yummy dinner on our way home and were happy to see that Katy had managed the girls beautifully. All 3 were tucked in their beds without any mishaps.

We were so stuffed from our dinner, we decided to do cake and ice cream another day.

He may not like birthday's, but he does love us, and that helps make up for the rest, I think.

Greggy requested a homemade lemon rasberry cake, courtesy of @CakebyCourtney. With how expensive eggs were in January, it was a labor of love to get that thing made. The cake alone used 8 eggs. and the buttercream used even more! It cost a small fortune, but it was delicious so at least it was worth it!

We sure do love you Greggy! 35 never looked so good.
