One Last Hurrah

Mark & Kathy received their mission calls to the Syracuse, NY mission and were scheduled to leave after Thanksgiving. All of the Spjute's came to town for their Farewell and we had a fun weekend together.

We were able to have dinner with all of the adults. It was delicious!

We started the morning off with breakfast at Mark & Kathy's, then headed to the Get Air trampoline park in Kaysville to have fun with cousins.

We had fun but had to leave early to get to Sof's dance performance on time. I enrolled her in a Musical Theatre class and it was cute to watch. She did great!

We had a few hours to kill before a big Spjute/Bingham photo shoot that was organized. The pictures actually turned out really cute and the kids loved running around together.

I kind of love this picture!
The girls were loving it too!
Sof taking the wheel!

That night we walked around and saw some Christmas lights. They were beautiful!

The next day (Sunday) was Mark & Kathy's farewell. Both did amazing and we all gathered back at their house. The highlight of the day was finding Claire and Henry hiding in the pantry, binging on cinnamon rolls. This picture is here courtesy of Toby.

Fun in November

November was a fun month. It was a month of changes and family togetherness.

Greg and I love watching Claire dance. It is the toddler equivalent of watching Elaine dance on Seinfeld. It is both painful and hilarious to watch.

COVID went through Sof's class like wildfire. She only had an earache, but I thought nothing of it. It wasn't until I talked to her teacher 2 weeks later that I realized that basically everyone around Sof had tested positive for COVID. I never got her tested, but I'm pretty sure she had it. Oh well.

We love sick days .... said no one ever!
So stylin'!

The beautiful weather continued through November, and we were soaking it up as much as we could! We found ourselves at the fun bike park in West Farmington one day around dinner time ...

and the girls convinced us to have dinner at Costa Vida. It is their favorite!

Greg started tithing settlement mid November, so the girls and I were thrilled to take the ebike out while he was stuck at the church. Little did we know that he would have to do 9 weeks of tithing settlement ... it was kind of the worst!
It's never too early to make gingerbread cookies.
The girls were pretty adamant about Greg putting the Christmas lights up, even if it was late at night.
I came home and died laughing when I saw Mittens curled up on Greg's lap. It never gets old.
Kaysville is notorious for power outages. The girls had fun sitting in front of the stove during dinner. It's seeing them enjoy the little things that I realize we should go back to the basics more often. They were thrilled to run around the house, chasing each other with flashlights.
Oh this cat ... I'm convinced every household needs one.
After Sof got sick, Claire got sick but she just couldn't seem to shake it. I know Claire is truly sick when she naps, which she did 3 days in a row. I found her one day curled up in the sunshine with mittens.
Enjoying some yummy cookies from our neighbor.

Halloween 2021

Halloween finally came and it was so nice to trick-or-treat as normal this year! The weather was warm and we had fun walking around. Sof and I went as far as I think we've ever gone, and the girls got a lot of yummy candy! Our neigborhood seemed to be celebrating the end of COVID, because everyone seemed to have bought the good candy this year.

A black kitty ...
Queen Barb ...
And their accompanying unicorns. Yes, everyone in our neighborhood was dying over Greg's unicorn headband and overall exciteable persona 🤣
Happy Halloween ya filthy animal!

End of October Fun

We had fun at Wheeler Farm, enjoying the beautiful sunshine! Even Claire took off her coat, and that's a big deal. The girls were big enough to entertain themselves while I followed them around. I've said it before and I'll say it again, 4 and 6 are magical ages.

I know there will come a time when I miss these innocent days, but I'm sure soaking up moments like these while I get them!

Greg took Toby mountain biking one day and they had a lot of fun!
